PARISIAN sunbathers will no longer be allowed to go nude or wear g-strings on the capital's artificial beaches and risk a fine if they are caught baring their breasts or buttocks.
City hall has issued a decree banning indecent clothing to preserve the tranquillity of the sandy beaches created on the banks of the River Seine every summer since 2001.
"People must behave according to good standards to maintain tranquillity, security and public order," the decree said, according to Saturday's edition of Le Parisien. "Notably indecent attire (nude sunbathing, g-strings and toplessness etc) is forbidden."
The city police will be enforcing the rules, and anyone caught baring too much flesh risks a 38 euro ($A63) fine.
Defending the decree, city hall sports official Pascal Cherki told Le Parisien that indecent clothing "could have led to temptations and dangerous behaviour on the banks of the river."

This is a VERY telling development. The French have no sense of morality. This is NOT coming from them of their own accord. This is coming from sub surface pressure from their NEW MASTERS, the Islamo terrorists. The influence these bastards have over France must be much greater than anybody realizes. The frogs are getting boiled as we speak.

The very latest in French beach wear.

Just one more reason no to visit Paris
To: jmaroneps37
Now American men won't know that French women don't shave until AFTER you get them back to the hotel. And then, of course, it's too late.

Ummm, let's see . . . the French finally do something
commendable everybody jumps on them? Most Americans agree that streaking should be illegal, waltzing around nude or topless on public beaches should be illegal and flaunting your private parts in public should be illegal, so what's the problem here?
I'm not one to defend either the French nor the Islamofacists, but enforcing common standards of decency seem like common sense.
Have you ever noticed that those most likely to go nekkid in public are those who look the worst doing it? Could you imagine Helen Thomas nude on a Parasian beach, f'rinstance?

I made the same comment on the first thread. If this ban is evidence of the growing "islamization" of France, then the U.S. is a theocratic Muslim dictatorship.

I've never had trouble finding cute French girls that shave. So thank
you and thanks everyone.
Did I mention that French women braid their armpit hair? They all do, guys . . . so don't bother hitting on any of them. I'll take the bullet.

Ummm, let's see . . . the French finally do something commendable everybody jumps on them?I don't think anyone here is criticizing new law, just questioning whether it's actually initiated by the French. The French have always made it clear that anyone (especially the Brits and Americans) who disapproves of public nudity on a beach is a prude and a puritan, so this ruling represents a considerable change in their culture and belief system. Have the French suddenly acquired a respect for modesty, or are they being intimidated into it by threats of violence by the Islamofascists in their midst?

So you don't think they're trying to avoid offending Christian parents out for a Sunday stroll with the kids? There are very few practicing Christians in Europe--around 10%, I seem to recall reading recently. And the French have publicly scorned religious Christians for decades, so why would they suddenly develop a sensitivity for values held by so small and powerless a group?

You are correct. If Christians had been demanding for this change to take place, they would have been called all kinds of names, ridiculed, and nothing would have changed.
I am sending le monde an email expressing the views I have about this sudden change.

One of the few decent things about France WAS that they weren't so uptight about this sort of thing that only busybodies care about. Now that the "decency" police will be patrolling the French beaches and handing out tickets to people whose nipples or butt cheeks are showing, there's little reason to vacation there.

Ummm, let's see . . . the French finally do something commendable everybody jumps on them? First of all, it is SO VERY French to go topless on the beach and wear G-Strings. Secondly, the French are not doing it because its commendable (was there a vote, by French Citizens?)..it smells..no it REAKS of islamic takeover.

Yes, I think you are right, but it should be a restrictive law, to be applied only to Helen Thomas. :)

What?? Why would they want to keep Bill Clinton away?
To: Vigilanteman; jmaroneps37
Don't be so quick to applaud. jmaroneps37 is right on with his suspicion.
They haven't banned virtually nude sunbathing on the Riviera out of a sense of morals, it's just that there aren't as many Islamists down there.
(The Muslim sheiks and oil barons down there tooling around on their yachts like the view as much as anyone else.)

Do they sunbathe topless down there too? If so, be ready for the ban.
I don't know if they'll ever get the beach bunnies to the east to cover up though!
