Description: Larry Schweikart examines America's military record from
the Revolutionary War to its current war on terror and argues that
the U.S. military today is the most humane and effective fighting
force in the world. He also compares the U.S. military's involvement
in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War to its current
involvement in Iraq. This event was sponsored by the John Locke Foundation,
a nonprofit think tank based in North Carolina.
Author Bio: Larry Schweikart is a history professor at the University of
Dayton and has written books on national defense, business, and financial
history. He is the co-author of "A Patriot's History of the United States:
From Columbus's Great Discovery to the War on Terror."
Prof. Schweikart received his master's degree in history from Arizona
State and his doctorate from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

I heard him on the Rush Limbaugh Show (minus Rush) and he was very, very good. I learned quite a bit. I will be watching, and if not, will definitely TIVO the program.

ALL: I think you'll REALLY enjoy this speech. Lots of visuals. I don't just "read" from the book. It's a pretty good talk, if I do say so myself.

the book that basically says medical personnel serving with the US Military have
been violating their Hippocratic Oath if assisting in the interrogation process:
