I like your brand of optimism.

the Security Council of the United Nations was to hold Monday a first white vote on the four official candidates

Does that mean the Chinese sit out this vote ?

According to this article, it would seem to be Asia:

It seems that tradition plays a role, although I find it hard to believe that President Bush has already "conceded" this fact.

"Does it really matter who is 'The Chief Crook in Charge'?"

Mirrors my own thoughts. They could expand the candidate pool by a quick day trip to Attica prison.

I hope the NYT's and WaPo have extensive background checks on all nominees. Maybe MTP will even have a round table/debate!

Thae Indian diplomat has a neat name. Let's go with him. BTW, if the Dems bolt Bolton, W will just have to wait to sign him in like he did on recess. Thankfully, the Dems are dumb enough to keep this game on till Nov. A lot of Americans are seeing JB as a tough guy who stands up for the USA. Americans love a winner not a whiner.
