I use metacrawler
Send Google a harshly critical letter, then stop using them.
Awesome.
IF YOU SEEK TRUTH, YOU WILL NOT FIND IT ON GOOGLE.
Google censors anything that they define as islamophobic, homophobic, ya da yada ya.
Google NEVER censors Christophobic or Judeophobic speech and websites.
Google also demonstrates its political bias in Google News. Freerepublic.com is never indexed as a news source, while the ultra-left wing chat site, democraticunderground.com, is considered a "news site" by them.
There are many alternatives to google:
http://clusty.com (search news, blogs, web, images, etc with clustered results)
http://yahoo.com (search news, shop, media, regional, web, etc)
http://www.archive.org/web/web.php (Wayback machine)
http://dogpile.com (combines several search engines)
http://gigablast.com
http://about.com (How to do anything)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
http://ask.com
http://biblegateway.com (Search any bible version)
http://www.newadvent.org/ (church history and theology)
Pay to search for even better results:
http://www.lexisnexis.com/ (Rush Limbaugh's favorite engine)
http://northernlight.com (search all periodicals)
http://www.edgar.com/ (business articles, insider trading, etc)
http://britannica.com
I do occasionally get searches done in my name, but I believe most are just typos.
On the other hand;
A guy can dream can't he?
LOL
Cheers,

I suspect it would primarily increase ad revenue - not worth trying. The cost of getting a larger amount of hits would be minor in comparison to the increased ad potential.
You might try dogpile.com. I'm not certain where their political leanings are, but they seem to have a pretty decent search engine and, unlike google, they don't seem to flaunt their, "we are all about money over politics" existence, all the while doing all they can to compromise the country that allows them to do just that.

Unless something has changed, Dogpile doesnt have their own search - they report the results of other searches including Google.
Our site is portal driven not search driven, ours is geographic portals with allready linked info.
We will be selling advertising banners as billboards by pixels.

(Go Israel Go! Slap 'Em Down Hezbullies.)
Now if only AP would get a bad name... Many people blog with google and blogspot. I do but townhall.com is now asking people to move their accounts to them since blogspot is a lefty outfit.
She lost me at her idiotic line of "So, even though its a huge violation of our First Amendment's guarantee to a free press, do they care? Hell no!".
Sigh. A private company can do as it wishes. Now if you have a beef with that then say so has she does here. However, don't claim 1st amendment it just makes you look stupid.
<< A private company can (sic) do as it wishes. >>
Not, any more than may any individual and/or entity, without the expectation of being afforded the dignity of the consequences of its actions.
With Al Gore as "Senior Advisor" what do you expect?
