WASHINGTON - the American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will announce Friday the first details of a "diplomatic plan" international for the Middle East, indicated to AFP a high person in charge for the State Department.Mrs. Rice, who prepares to go in the area, "will have something to say this afternoon", declared the person in charge American.
"We are working in a diplomatic plan which would tackle the violence to which we attend and the roots of this violence", it added. "It will be an international effort".
According to the American chain NBC, Mrs. Rice tries to organize a meeting of crisis gathering of the European leaders and Arabic when it goes the next week to the Middle East.
The American person in charge refused to confirm this information, stating simply that the Secretary of State would evoke his route in the afternoon.
Mrs. Rice met Friday morning in New York the mission of mediation of UNO which went in the area.
Accompanied by the Secretary of State associated for the Middle East, David Welch and of the American ambassador with UNO John Bolton, it discussed during 45 minutes with the delegation UNO, composed of Mr. Vijay Nambiar, adviser of the Secretary-general Kofi Annan for the political businesses and MISTERS Alvaro de Soto and Terje Roed-Larsen.
Before this meeting, it expressed its concern in connection with the explosive situation in the Middle East.
"We all are very worried by the situation in the Middle East and we want to find the means of progressing to contribute to make of the Middle East a stable, democratic area and in peace", it declared.
"tackle the violence to which we attend and the roots of this violence"
Isn't that Hezbollah?

Memo to Condi: Say Home
Let it play out longer or let the UN go with its peace plan first and debate it and vote on it and well, you know the drill.
Nothing's easier. Here's the first draft: 'I'd like to say that, at present, I have nothing to say. Nevertheless, I'd like to say that later I will say something...'
I don't like the degree of legitimacy many seem to want to grant this terrororist organization to date. I hope Condi does not go even further and give Hezbollah anything that resembles a choice other than leave Lebanon or die.
"You're not from around here, don't you?"
"No!"
How about this plan: Let Israel send in some peace keeping troops?
Stay away, Rice! Let Israel continue to bomb these a-holes to kingdom come.
I hope there are several thousand pairs of government eyes on IRAN. They are up to something.
In other words, capitulate to the terrorists. Once again, we've screwed over Israel's war on terrorism.
When Americans are beheaded, Rice is quiet.
When Islamic missles terrorize and kill, Rice is quiet.
When Islam attacks, Rice is quiet.
WHEN ANYONE FIGHTS BACK, SHE WANTS TO STOP THE DEFENSE.
ENOUGH.
Can someone shut Condi up?
Here is my peace plan:
Israel wins, Hezbollah loses.
When did she get married?
This just a token visit to appease the peaceniks. Condi will say "Behave", Hisbowela will say "No" and DC can say "We tried". *shrug*
Pretty much says it all right there.
"We all are very worried by the situation in the Middle East and we want to find the means of progressing to contribute to make of the Middle East a stable, democratic area and in peace", it declared.
If you're so damn worried about the middle east, then help Israel rid it of terrorists instead of pissing around with diplomating blah-blah crap while the terrorists continue to attack civilians.
This could happen if we keep our mitts off.
High volume. Articles on Israel can also be found by clicking on the Topic or Keyword Israel. also

..................
am tired of the Lebanese government making noises! It's about time that the government be annihilated, whether they be Muslim or Christian. Anyway they're all pro-Syria
Condi needs to stay at home. Isreal can come up with all of the ideas that it needs. We have caused too much trouble as it is.
I have no sympathy for the Lebanese govt. They sat on their hands while the islamic terrorists took over their country and transformed it from the Emerald of the Middle East to the sh--heap that it is today. Let them eat acorns while the Israelis root out the terrorists.
Islamofacists have already made their plans, and they're not going to listen to an American female diplomat. Only a slap to their face with a sandal would be more insulting as they see it. It might infuriate their pride enough to make them do something stupid though, which could work to our/Israel's advantage.
This diplomatic plan should be hand delivered to Assad at his palace in Damascus by IDF armor.
Seriously, I'm in favor of a diplomatic solution once the military solution has been implemented. But just as, after a dozen years of trying it was clear no diplomatic solution was possible that left Saddam in charge; no diplomatic solution is possible that leaves Hezbollah in Lebanon. The war ends when Hezbollah can no longer mount an attack, when their leaders have been expelled from Lebanon, when their military stores have been captured or destroyed.
At that point, diplomacy becomes viable.
Camp David - miserable failure
Oslo - miserable failure
With all due respect, anything Secretary Rice comes up with - eventual miserable failure, and it won't be her fault*.
Plan? How 'bout this for a plan...
Less appeasement towards a bunch of thugs that would kill an American, any American, in a second and not even think twice about it, and more killing of same.
Lotsa time ya gotta communicate in a language they understand. These guys understand killing. They've been trained since they were infants to do it (therein lies the problem, but that's another thread :).
President Bush: "We will not negotiate with terrorists."
Diplomacy is a form of negotiation. Put up or shutup.
*Am I the only one who sees a pattern here? What's that saying about stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?
Next week, any country that took in Hizbullah terrorists will be bombed.
Let's wait and see what Condi really has to say. Se has already stated (along with the entire Bush administration) that Israel has the right to defend itself, and has placed the blame squarely on Hezbollah. So let's see what comes of this-- let's not rule out Condi having a decent plan just yet.
She works at the pleasure of the President. She'll say what he tells her to say. You might actually like what she has to say.
Something along the lines of getting Hezbollah to "stop this Sh*t", perhaps?
Clinton's Camp David meeting was an unmitigated disaster.
But the original Camp David has worked out pretty well. Israel and Egypt have diplomatic relations, and they haven't had a war since then, thanks to Begin and Sadat. It's tragic that Sadat was assassinated for daring to have diplomacy with Israel.
"How do you get a cease-fire with a terrorist organization?"
John Bolton.
Yes. President Bush.
We need a man in the State Department
slowhand520 is right.
hope so. hope the UN is not involved.
This is another fork in the road for Europe -- follow Russia and the restored USSR, or the US. Choose.
We'll see. Every time I see "diplomatic" anything involving the Department of State, UN, etc., I cringe and think "here we go, time for another damn screwover of Israel and appeasement of the Jihadstinians." I hope this is indeed a coaliton building against Hezbolla and also Hamas and not another arm-twisting of Israel.
notable exception - Bolton. And the swing vote has swung back.
Bolton is great and he's in a class by himself! Swing votes I don't trust, they can easily swing back the other way.
I love this guy.

JB: "Condi, please tell me you're not bringing in those 3 steaming piles, Secretary-general Kofi Annan for the political businesses and MISTERS Alvaro de Soto and Terje Roed-Larsen"
Well, French has long been considered the language of diplomacy, LOL.
The last I heard, Condi wasn't married. You know reporters are going to ask about that if she runs for president in 2008.
To Condi: We like you, and know you're very intelligent, so surely you must be aware of the track record for Mideast peace proposals. Why don't you stay home this time, and give victory a chance?
I would marry Condi in a heartbeat!
