I know I'm getting old. I remember this man very well!Same here. I was just trying to recall him to my son a few weeks ago, and couldn't remember the name. But I knew who I meant!

I've always wondered who John Laroquette reminded me of (image-wise):
Something about their eyes...both have that smile/twinkle in their eyes.

Member of the club here. This was a fun guy, always good for smiles and laughs. Dang, the world is getting far too serious - and I am getting far too old.

RIP Jan
I remember 2 kids frantically trying to open the lock on one of two treasure chests using a few hundred different keys dumped out on a table. I think it was before each commercial they'd "check up" on the key search and they didn't have a winner on every show.
Or was that Wonderama??

Wasn't that Geraldo Rivera?

I am getting far too old.I was starting to feel that way, but then I ran across a Pearl Jam Rock Block on tv and have been having a good time listening to some tunes the past hour. I probably skew the demographics for this group, but as long as there's purple fingernail polish and rock and roll, I'm as young as I want to be.

With his smile & eye twinkle, Jan could have sold sand to the king of Saudi Arabia.

Back in the 80s while channing surfing, I remember seeing Jan Murray on something called the Chabad Telethon.
Not unlike Jerry Lewis' MD Telethon when they'd build up this timpani and reveal pledges to date, the Chabad people, when they announced how much money had been pledged, this Jewish-themed music would strike up, and a bunch of Hasidim would rush in from off-stage, grab Murray and begin dancing around in a circle.
Two or three rounds in that circle, Murray would break free, holding his chest, huffing & puffing and stumble over to his normal place on stage.
One of the funniest things I've seen.

Everybody liked Jan Murray.
May God bless him and his family.

Or was that Wonderama??Yes, it was, with Sonny Fox I believe, although I may be wrong because if I remember this stuff, I probably have alzheimers...or maybe not. BTW, do you know where I am?
I need another beer. Now, where did I put it?
Happy Fourth Joe.
