What motivates the New York Times to publish information that helps the enemy kill Americans? It is the central question because, in the final analysis, Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. and his editors and reporters are Americans, too. This is a paper based in a city that lost almost 3,000 citizens on 9/11.
The next time the terrorists strike, the Times and its employees could be incinerated. The next time we are hit by al Qaeda, Times employees could be jumping out of windows to their deaths. But the paper decided that its better to risk another terrorist attack on America than withhold information that might help prevent another attack. What accounts for such a strange view about the value of human life? Why has this paper turned its back on the absolute necessity of protecting the lives of our fellow Americans?

Very nice, FReepers taking charge!

"The New York Times" is not some monolithic faceless alien oracle.
It is run by this man Arthur Sulzberger Jr. and his cadre of socialist crook propagandists from NYC's 42nd st.
Sulzberger is an enemy of the state and should be surveilled and brought up on charges of sedition. bttt
Where does this Sulzberger person live on the weekends?
The NYTs does what it does because there's a huge culture war going on. The biggest since the Wets and the Drys in the nineteen teens and twenties.
The Times is on the side of feminizing America, making it more like Europe. They favor homosexual "rights" which means quotas for gays; black "affirmative action" which means quotas for minorities, and nazi-feminist control over the culture.
They want an end to Christianity as its practiced today: more "hate" speech laws, and they want conservative speech outlawed and Hillary in the White House.
This is a war.
"What motivates the New York Times to publish information that helps the enemy kill Americans?"
They are motivated to defend against what they perceive as a major political defeat for Democrats that will follow a Bush military victory in Iraq. If Bush wins, they lose. Theres nothing more to it. The only war that matters in the eyes of most Democrat leaders and their media allies is the political conflict between Left and Right.
Protest the New York Times Revealing of U.S. Secrets, Monday, July 10, 5 p.m.
"If Bush wins, they lose..."
Exactly - and they are willing to do anything to try and make sure 'Bush (and America) lose.'
I don't know. But what's that old saying about "what's good for the goose is good for the gander"?

Friday, June 30, 2006 2:59 p.m. EDT N.Y. Times Retaliates Against Cheney, Rumsfeld
Beware of travel feature stories posing as invitations to terror.
"The New York Times points cranks, radicals, al-Qaida operatives and would-be assassins to the summer homes of [V.P. Dick] Cheney and [Defense Secretary Donald] Rumsfeld" writes FrontPage Magazine's David Horowitz, who sees the June 30 Times feature article as an apparent retaliation for administration "criticism of the Times' disclosure of classified intelligence to America's enemies."
In the "Escapes" section of the June 30 edition, the N.Y. Times printed huge color photos of the vacation residences of Cheney and Rumsfeld, "identifying the small Maryland town where they live, showing their front driveways and, in Rumsfeld's case, actually pointing out the hidden security camera in case any hostile intruders should get careless," Horowitz writes.
Times Travel section writer Peter Kilborn even makes sure enemies of the two men will know such details as where Mrs. Rumsfeld shops in the eastern shore town of St. Michaels, Md. where the two administration officials have weekend retreats.
He even lets the curious know what street the Cheneys and Rumsfelds have to use to get to their own road.
It's all part of the war against President Bush, Horowitz charges.
"Make no mistake about it, there is a war going on in this country," Horowitz advises, noting that the aggressors in this war "are Democrats, liberals and leftists who began a scorched earth campaign against President Bush before the initiation of hostilities in Iraq."
One of the most prevalent weapons in this war, according to Horowitz, is the New York Times.
NYT Published when it did to beat the LA paper, why is the LA paper getting off so easy?
I figured it was. bttt
uh, 43rd st...
??
It is run by this man Arthur Sulzberger Jr. and his cadre of socialist crook propagandists from NYC's 42nd st.
They haven't moved into the new building yet. They are on 43rd street.
The Times building is actually on 43rd St.
The Times building is actually on 43rd St.
Man, I was wondering what they were doing with all those wax statues of Michael Jackson and Tom Cruise...
Ok - now I see what you're saying. I looked at the other thread I referenced, and that point is made over there, too. Thanks.
The Times was directly across the street from one of the great bars in NYC. 43rd hasn't been the same since they shut the place down...
Hi Matchett
I couldn't agree with you more!
I believe it! LOL
Maybe he will post the picture and show where his security cameras are too...all in the spirit of equal reporting!
I won't hold my breath waiting!
Hi 3-D! Wish I was in on this FReep! I have an idea that it's going to be just the beginning of a long hot summer for the blame-America-first, left-wing seditionists in the "drive-by-media".
The bar where the New York Daily News guys hung out on the east side was called Costello's. Above the bar was John O'Hara's walking stick smashed by Earnest Hemingway in a fit of, well, being Hemingway.
Thanks for the link to the article about Gough's Saloon. It was a great read.
Great story. One of the biggest disappointments I ever had was the first time I visited Key West - NOTHING like I pictured it to be - ditto for "Sloppy Joe's Bar". LOL Travel really is broadening.
It's the obit of NYC media. I closed Gough's many, many nights. From eleven until..? at night there'd be great raging political (and sports) debates between reporters, editors, press guys, drivers, and basically whoever walked in off the street. And every once in awhile there'd be a fist fight with drunken middle-aged, out of shape guys rolling around on the filthy floor trying to beat the hell out of each other.
Same was true for Costello's.
This isn't ancient history, either. I remember this stuff in the mid and late 1980s.
Then everything turned nice and everyone was too polite to debate or disagree.
Excellent point. How about some Citizen Journalism on that??..Maybe an FR special!
The pendulum is beginning to swing back in the direction of men being men again. The backlash has begun against this wishy-washy feminized society.
It isn't a question of men being men, it's a question of too much money in the media. If you're a reporter at a paper earning six figures with a house, mortgage, car payments, etc. etc. you're going to protect your job -- not make any waves, "be a good boy," monitor how much you drink and what you say in front of co-workers and the boss. On the other hand, if you're a reporter circa 1980s, making $50,000 a year living in an crammed apartment and your skills allow you to get a job the next month, then you might just throw a beer in your editor's face because he's a jerk and doesn't know what the hell is going on out in Bed-Stuy or the lower east side.
People in the media are so afraid of losing their jobs they've forgotten what the jobs were about in the first place.
Sounds like many of those House Republicans we sent to DC in 1994!
Sounds like many of those House / Senate Republicans we sent to DC in 1994 and thereafter!
Welcome to my world view...

He's an enemy of the country, not merely the state. He's also gone beyond sedition, way beyond, to something that is indistinguishable from Treason, via the "in adhering to their (The United States) Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort" route.
Y'all vets and current military remember the "all enemies, foreign and domestic" part of your oaths? This is exactly what it was talking about.

His is one of those mansions on Gin road, probably the biggest one.
I did find the Gin Lane address in some Hampton Real estate discussion. There they indicated that Pinch lived on Gin Lane. Maybe they have a compound or his dad lets him use the old place or gave it to him.
The google earth pics are in color and have more resolution.
I just got home from a day of FREEPING.
NYT, Code Pink, and "Last Supper" crowd were all FREEPED.
Honest, they had a long pink cloth and candles and flowers down the road at the White House gate!
There were so many tourists supporting us it was a pleasure. One school group sang patriotic songs and really disrupted their speakers!! The leaders borrowed our "support the troops" sign for their pictures !
It was as good a day as we had in Orlando after the first Bush win. Remember?
bttt
I sure do! Thanks for the FReep report ...Sounds to me like you guys were very effective. I'm glad to hear that you had lots of support, too!
In a bathhouse somewhere, most likely.
