"Without question the role of overzealous JAGs are playing a role in all this -"
But commanders with GCM authority have the latitude of accepting or rejecting their SJA's recommendations.

Of course they HAVEN'T actually BEEN charged, but the MSM managed to find an anonymous source who says the Corps is PLANNING to.
I wonder if this is the same source Leopold used when claiming Rove had been indicted on may 12th?

DANG, not another smear attempt by the drive-by media on our military heroes. This is getting old. I agree. They have forsaken their journalistic 'broad brush' and picked up a spray can...

I hope the administration and the military are not succumbing to "political correctness," otherwise known as "losing the will to win."
It seems that is happening more and more.
Why are the US forces AGAIN in Ramadi? This is the 3rd time. The first time, they turned back 'for political reasons'. The second time, they cleaned house. Why didn't they establish a 'beachhead' there then?
It seems, the US military gets some success and 'Washington politics' causes them to pull back. Then, of course, the Military have to do it all over again. Ramadi is one example; going after al-Sadr again and again and again is another example.

If they killed a civilian without any justification (as they are alleged), they are a blot on the honor of our military. They should receive no mercy who showed no mercy. Explain Altanta, the "March to the Sea", Dresden, Hiroshima and Nagasaki then in terms of your honor. Were those generals wrong to do it?

"Whatever else that means, it does mean that Murthas sources were wrong." Murtha's source was a Marine Corps briefing given to members of Congress. Kline(R,MN) and Hunter(R, CA) on the House Armed Services Comm got the same briefing. The briefing contained essentially the same facts that are out today. Murtha on the Defence Appropriations Comm. got the same briefing. Murtha lied based on the content of those briefings. He chose to spin it according to the terrorist's perspective as did the MSM.

I should know better than get caught up in this visceral crossfire; however:
In the vernacular, one ah-shit cancels out 99 atta-boys.lol
It seems to me that the trial will result in a finding of guilty or not guilty of the charge(s) and specification(s). Also matters in extenuation and mitigation will be considered. Then, if guilty, there will be a sentence.
Speculation by the MSM does not play a role in the outcome. Moreover, the opinions of posters simply cannot negate that which is required by law.

I know what... they need to cut off whoever's leaking, especially who leaked to Murtha during the investigation.

Sad is a correct word I guess. The press will do anything to vilify our troops. Crap happens in war. War is not a video game. I head this bit#h reporter asking this a.m. on the radio about if Zow-we was "beaten" or "signs he was beaten". Jesus, these people are worried that a thug who cuts people's heads off was beaten. He killed anyone that was a western looking person and not Arab. These clowns of the press and socialist democratic party will cause the deaths of thousands with their crap. LISTEN UP AMERICAN - YOUR LIVES ARE IN YOUR HANDS - DUMP THE MSM, DUMP THE SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS BEFORE YOU D-I-E!!!

The case in the headline of this thread is NOT the Haditha case...the one Gen. McInerny was talking about today IS the Haditha case...
Sorry if there was some confusion.

Two California soldiers shot to death in Iraq were murdered by Iraqi civil-defense officers patrolling with them,
Iraqi forces who had trained with the Americans had fired at them twice before the incident that killed Patrick McCaffrey, and he had reported it to his superiors, she said.
To bad Charges aren't FIRST being filed against the Iraqi Commander of these those two IP that killed our troops.
Priorities in this "war" are absurd.

Earlier I posted a story about an Al Qaida Group saying they are going to kill Russian kidnapped workers. I wonder what Russia is going to do about this? Sit back and think about the Geneva Convention? I guess so - No reaction from them whatsoever! NoOne is safe from these vile sandslugs - why do our soldiers have to worry in wartime about this? Since when did we start fighting a PC war? This makes me sick!
