"I guess the msm can't get enough of these stories to satisfy their hatred of our troops."You hit the nail on the head.

I don't think the soldiers should be charged based on Iraqi witnesses either.

First, look at those 2 soldiers that were killed by the Iraqi's that they were training.

Also, look at Afghanistan after we went in. Feuding tribes would lie and get the other tribe bombed by saying that was a taliban site or something of that nature. I believe the same thing happened in Iraq. Correct me if I'm wrong.

"The way that we are conducting this "war" is precisely the issue at hand here, as American soldiers are getting killed overseas on nearly a daily basis."

When looking at the way we are conducting this war, we must have something to compare it to. When was the last time that we went to war with a country, took over the entire country with over 100,000 troops on the ground and lost approximately 2,500? In the past have we tended to lose more or less than 2,500? The answer to that question will define whether the war is being fought correctly or incorrectly.

"Rob's dad sounds absolutly certain that his son rob will be acquited on all charges and said all the charges were accused by iraqis.

It is inconceivable to me that our military would even consider or listen to criminal charges from foreign citizens in a battle zone....

it is absolutely crazy !"

This whole thing may because it is Iraqi's that are making the charges. The alternative would be for the Iraqi's to take matters into their own hands, and I do not want any part of that.

If our troops are innocent, they will be given a fair hearing. If they are guilty that will come out too.

In many battles in WW2 we lost upwards of 2500 troops in 1 day, battle of the bulge, Normandy, Guadalcanal, Corigador to name a few, most other WW2 battles brought casualties numbering in the 100's.......

the number of gang related murders in the USA hovers in the 1500 a year range,

the Metro LA area has a steady gang related kill rate upwards of 500 a year

From what I understand the Article 32 hearing is going to take place next Friday, the 30th of June. I also understand that the lawyer fees for the 8 men will run upwards of ONE MILLION dollars.

I don't know if these 7 Marines and 1 Navy Corpsman are guilty or not but I choose to BELIEVE them and have made up my mind to contribute to their defense fund.

I hope our fellow Vet freepers give it some thought to help our Greatest Generation.

One of the family's websites for their Marine son is Here!

The following thread has a video link to the protest outside Camp Pendleton. The grandfather of one the marines organized the protest.

Thanks so much, Jerri. I did see the other thread and had the video sent to me also. I look forward to going down there on Saturday and maybe meet you, if you are there.

I won't be there Saturday as my mother and I will be busy that day. I do hope the turn out is good and nobody gets harassed.
