A teacher at a Chevy Chase day-care center was arrested over the weekend for allegedly fondling a 14-year-old male in a restroom stall at a Rockville bookstore, Montgomery County police said yesterday.

John P. Salinas, 37, of Silver Spring was charged with attempted third-degree sex offense and fourth-degree sex offense following an alleged May 20 incident in which he forcibly pulled down the pants and underwear of a teenager who was using the restroom at the Barnes & Noble store on Rockville Pike.

The alleged victim's father confronted Salinas and called police, but Salinas left the store before police arrived - Salinas is lucky, calling the police is not what dad should do and when he left the store it would be horizontal.

If I remember, so did some of the McMartin defendants, early on, when they were getting leaned on by the police, but the admissions wound up being garbage.

Yes, innocent until proven guilty. But IIRC, the McMartin case relied entirely on testimony from preschoolers. It would be a lot harder to get a 14 year old boy to accuse a complete stranger of something like this. And if the guy was not a complete stranger to the father and son, so that they might have some motive for falsely accusing him, one would think he would have mentioned that in his police interview.

Instead they consider our cultural taboos to be indecent since such taboos give the degenerates freedom to recruit the young to their degeneracy without resistance by society. Innocent til proven guilty is good to keep in mind, except in this case the perpetrator admitted his contact with the fourteen year old boy. While the alleged perpetrator has not admitted inappropriate sexual contact with any other child, the age range of children at the school is from preschool to kids requiring after school care.

There just might be some very unhappy parents who have paid a lot of money to have other people look after their children. Here's a look at the fee schedule for such dedicated child care.

I wonder how many parents will be feel pain anywhere other than in their checkbooks?

Actually, you are presumed innocent by the courts until proven guilty in a court of law. If you are guilty, you are guilty. The courts just assume you innocent until the trial is over.

Remember, "Not Guilty" is a legal term and being found such does not make you innocent.

Well, no worries about this Daycare/After School School because it has a wonderful scholarship program, which makes the experience available for all kids.

The Scholarship program is funded in part by United Way. I do not know if United Way receives any Federal Funds, but wouldn't that just be the icing on the cake if it did receive tax dollars? /sarcasm

How the Scholarship Program Works

The Scholarship Fund is available to all families who have children enrolled in ASAD programs.

• Parents should apply for the scholarship fund program by June 1, for the upcoming school year. Once the school year has begun,applications will be accepted at any time.

ASAD has become a privately incorporated, secular, and nonprofit organization which prides itself on tolerance of all lifestyles.

ASAD offers child care from preschool to school age, presumably including the age of the 14 year old alleged victim.

Tax dollars may be helping fund this educational experience for children.
