June 20, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Already the lefty websites are rejoicing over the brutal torture deaths of two U.S. servicemen - Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, Texas and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker, 25, of Madras, Oregon – at the hands of Muslim terrorists.
Eager to re-brand the war as a disaster after the death of al-Zarqawi, the western media and the Democrat leadership will rise nearly as one to use the barbaric treatment of Mr. Menchaca and Tucker as nothing more than bloody rags to further inflame the discussion over the American response to Muslim terror. Of course this is exactly why the servicemen were captured and subjected to torture in the first place because the response by the media and the dhimmis on the left will advance al-Qaeda’s media strategy.
In a period of history in which the denial of a Coke to an al-Qaeda murderer in GITMO constitutes torture, how do we place today’s events in Iraq in perspective?
Well it’s pretty easy.
From the 7th century until the present the chief export from Muslim countries has been pain, suffering, torture and brutal oppression. In such a continuum it’s pretty hard to indict practices as individually barbarous because 1,300 years of such inures the senses against all but the most abominably heinous actions.
Class, let us do a partial review:
In the early 600s Muslim armies swarmed over Christian Judea and Syria.
A few years later they crushed Persia [today called Iran - the location of the Sunni/Shia split] and then proceeded to plunder Christian North Africa, including Egypt.
In the early 700s the Muslim armies proceeded across the Straights of Gibraltar to the Iberian Peninsula where Christian Spain and Portugal fell under the yoke of the crescent hordes - the sons of Mohammed.
Along the way entire populations were put to the sword, beheaded, burned, impaled and subjected to every form of physical depravity known to exist before or since.
Churches were defiled, altars urinated upon and nuns raped before being mutilated then put to ugly deaths.
Please remember that we are only talking here about a relatively brief time span of 100 years, in a gangrous play which is now well over a thousand years in duration.
So the events in Iraq today are hardly without adequate historical precedent.
This is the way Muslims wage war; these are the stakes in Iraq and the greater war on terror.
It is against such brutality that claims by the enemies of liberal democracy - the left - equating the United States with the Third Reich can properly be placed.
Whether western society has sufficient will to prevail in what surely is a clash of cultures - one of light and life, the other of darkness and death - remains very much in question.

The actions of the terrorists are very similar to the brutal, inhumane actions of the Japanese in WWII. The Japanese had a LONG history of brutality and NO culture of civility. Within a generation of our Victory, they became our ally. I think that the same thing can happen in the Middle East.

the "UN Representatives",

the Muslim clerics,

who will perform a rational and humane investigation
and judicial action to hold the torturers of the U.S. servicemen to account for their offenses against the Geneva Conventions;
in a manner equal to how every "offense" by our troops is scrutinized?

Any offense they make IS moral and any action an American soldier takes is immoral, as a matter of course.
The German populace went along with the Nazis (some due to fear, some due to nationalism) in WWII. After their defeat, we were able to bring them into the civilized world. The same is true for the Japanese. The challenge of the Middle East is not to exterminate them all (it will NEVER happen), but to change their culture and bring them into the modern world. I do not believe it cannot happen.
You are way more optimistic than I Onelifetogive. I see nothing out of the Middle East where Is-Slime is allowed to infest that shows the slightest hint of a people willing to enter a civilized society.

I'm sure anyone engaged in the Pacific War would have said the same thing. Impossible to imagine the Japanese as they are now while in the middle of the war.

While I have no numbers, my guess is that, in the US, moderate muslims are outnumbered by radical muslims by a ratio of at least 3:1.
One telling incident...
In May of last year a rally was held in Washington DC called "Muslims Against Terrorism".
There are roughly 8 million Muslims in the USA. How many showed up for a rally against Terrorism? About 50.
If there are 8 million muslims in the US, if only 1 percent are radical, thats 80,000 radicals. You can be sure that, when pressed, far more than 1 percent is/would become radical. But even at 80,000... that could develope into one hell of a network. Factor in pourous borders and the availability of gun powder, guns, chemicals for explosives and places like Lowes where PVC tubing can be made into makeshit rocket launchers, and you have a serious force to reckon with.
So... given these numbers and their violent history, is there a problem with Islam in the US today?

Call the DOD, White House, RNC, Senators, Representatives, and whomever else you can think of. The silent majority can't stay silent. Americans need to do our part in support of our military. I find it very interesting that they turned up dead so quickly. I was fully expecting the Islamo-Nazis to hold these guys hostage and slowly torture them, so that they could then produce and release periodic propaganda videos to fire up their
cut-and-run allies in the US Media.
The fact that they did not do this is interesting. What does it suggest?
- that they are now afraid to hold captured Americans for any length of time, lest a 500 lb. laser-guided bomb fall on their leader
- that they are no longer protected and organized enough to have a safe house or location nearby where they could hold hostages for any length of time
- that these brave young American soldiers put up a fight, rather than go along quietly, and gave their lives rather than serve as propaganda vehicles for the enemy
