If he was bigger, I'd be worried
I have no illusions about my tribe. They might be cute and lovable, but if they were big enough they would eat me. After they tortured me for an hour or so!

Mine's a purr-and-nipper. He'll purr to suck you in, then bite you, still purring. Then he'll give the spot he nipped a lick or two to make it all better. He's a weird mew.My big ole tom is that way too... he grooms and loves on the smaller kitten, then bites her, then grooms her again. It's a weird relationship.

A dog's owner is his master, a cat's "owner" is merely staff.

Many years ago, I had a mixed breed dog from the "Spitz" family, which can be a bit high strung and aggresive. The dog liked to chase my cat around the yard, and if I didn't know any better I would think that the cat was one step away from being mauled. But when the cat decided the game was over, he would stop and turn on my dog and take a swipe with an open claw, and the dog would roll on its back in the surrender position, probably because he had gotten a little too close in the past.
Same cat, different dog: My neighbor back then had an Australian Dingo that had a nasty habit of escaping from its fenced in pen and causing mischef around the neighborhood. One day, Mr. Dingo decided to take on Mr. Cat. The skirmish lasted about 3 seconds. The really funny part is that my neighbor had the nerve to send me the Vet bill for the damage that my kitty did to her dog.

Agreed! I wonder if anyone ever told the cat that he didn't have any claws.

My late grandfather had a German Shepherd named Duke that was a notorious cat killer. Until "Chimp" came along, that is. Imagine a 23 pound grey tabby Manx with seven fully functional claws on each front foot.
Their first meeting consisted of a low growl from Duke followed by profuse bleeding. That dog not only never touched another cat, he didn't want to be in the same county as one.

My Cartman is older than that, because I've had him that long, but who knows how old he really is. He'd sit at the bottom of the tree like that, mostly because he's too fat to hoist himself up it.
Here he is in a cat pile with 'his' kittens. He's remarkably good to them.
To: HairOfTheDog
Awwww...They're
adorable! And that's a terrific photo!
Mine's 14 now, and he keeps wanting to know where his kitty AARP card is :)

Giovanetti said there have been times when Jack, not always a friendly animal, has made her nervous. "Sometimes, I fear him," she told the newspaper. "Now, I think I fear him more."
Jack.
