Sadly, this will not happen. Didn't happen here with Moussaoui and won't happen in Canada. There will be long trials and short sentences for the convicted and a number of them acquitted.

What would have happened in WWII if we or the Canadians had caught Germans or Japanese (citizens or otherwise) plotting to blow up buildings?

We did have such a case with German saboteurs and they were summarily executed after a military trial.
