For some reason I am not at all surprised by this.
It pretty much follows the mindset of all hardcore liberals/progressives/socialists/communists, IMO.

It certainly provides an insight into why Trudeau detested the Canadian armed forces. During the years he was admiring Hitler and his 'final solution' to the Jewish question hundreds of thousands of Canadians were locked in deadly battle with the armed forces of his icon. The RCN grew to be the third largest (in tonnage) allied navy and became largely dedicated to the grueling and protracted war against the U-boat arm. As the navy fought the Battle of the Atlantic tens of thousands of other Canadians were convoyed to the United Kingdom to form a massive chunk of British Empire forces that would fight the Germans both in Northwest Europe as well as in Italy and the RCAF would raise, train, and provide almost 1/4 of the heavy bomber force of RAF's Bomber Command. So as a coward always hates one whose courage rebukes his cowardice so Trudeau hated those institutions and the men who proved his cowardice and protected his freedom as he was busy preaching sedition.

Would I be surprised? No. People may say people switch in political preferences like pendulums, but fascism and Nazism seem to be a closer relative to Communism than many conventional theorists assume. If we put forth the rhetoric and practice of Castro Cuba, post-1978 PR China, and replace the name with Italy or Germany, they are exact fits to Mussolini-era Italy or Nazi Germany.
Trudeau is likewise such type of person.

No surprise to me either...I recall something a good friend once told me...'don't, for a moment, believe that communism and fascism are polar extremes; think of both as a pathway, bending to ultimately form a circle.
The lines meet, IMO - to imprison the humanity within.

Trudeau was a communist sympathizer and a closet fudgepacker. His son, Justin, is also a flaming dinnermasher.
To: rickmichaels
"Dinnermasher?" WTF? Never heard that one b4...

So as a coward always hates one whose courage rebukes his cowardice so Trudeau hated those institutions and the men who proved his cowardice and protected his freedom as he was busy preaching sedition ... Well said indeed ... I grew up in Quebec but long gone when Trudeau became PM of Canada. My impression of Trudeau early on ... he was allowed to become PM because the rest of Canada succumbed to the threat of Quebec becoming independent. Trudeau was a cowardly nonparticipant in WWII, although certainly of age, who by happenstance emerged to become Prime Minister of Canada.
