A tornado watch means that conditions are right for a tornado to happen.
A tornado warning means that a tornado has been spotted in the area either by radar or eye witness.

It was rumbling all around us and then started lightening and I turned off the computer. It got very windy and I took a few things, like the radio, off the veranda because it looked like we'd get a sideways rain too, but then it all passed and now the sun is out.
It's like New England weather. If you don't like the weather, wait a minute.

Just raced in the door from the office . . . hugged hubby, kissed daughter, high-fived son, put the tape in the video-recorder and now I'm ready both to watch two great leaders and to read the comments of some great DOSERs!!!
[I just hope the weather cooperates . . . the sirens just started blaring as I typed -- I hate tornado season!!]
