ABC News: Watch for Bush-Blair 'Homo-Eroticism' at Tonight's Press Conference
ABC News ^ | Thursday, May 25, 2006 | Kristinn

ABC News, in their Web column on all things political called The Note, wallowed in the gutter today with their advice to those who view tonight's White House press conference with President Bush and Prime Minister Blair to watch for "sheer homo-eroticism" between the two wartime allies.

When one thinks of the great wartime alliances between the United States and Great Britain, "homo-eroticism" is not what one thinks of when Roosevelt and Churchill, and Reagan and Thatcher come to mind. Neither does it come to mind with Bush and Blair, except for the drive-by media.

Text of the ABC News report:

484 members of the Gang of 500 think Tony Blair is smarter, more articulate, more principled, and more visionary than Geroge W. Bush; their Brit counterparts think those Gang members are plonkers and muppets.

All of this will be on display when toothpaste buddies Bush and Blair ruin everyone's evening by holding a plush joint newser after or on Old Media deadlines.

A whole lotta thumbsuckin' going on as everyone vamps for the post-East Coast network news full press conference at 7:30 pm ET.

"This will be the President's 25th full press conference since taking office in 2001. His last press conference was on April 28 in the Rose Garden and was originally billed as just a statement on the economy. That day the President took questions from 15 different reporters," reports ABC News' Karen Travers, rattling off those stats as if they were sports scores.

Do not expect any announcements on troop withdrawals. The White House said Wednesday that such talk is "premature" and that those decisions will still turn on conditions on the ground. But watch closely the nuance, the body language, the bonhomie, and the sheer homo-eroticism (We are sort of kidding about that last one, Mr. President.).

What a long read! Mark Halperin gives credence to the old saying, "An apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Apparently, he inherited his politics from his father, Morton Halperin. ABC is rapidly deserving of the title, "The Cesspool of Journalism".

Those are two GOOD LOOKING men!!

BUT for ABC to refer to them as they did is meant to insult and inflame.

You simplified the truth "real good", ohio (...you, too, STARWISE).

He was hosting the foreign guest at his ranch, and the guest was having difficulty walking up that path. And in ME culture such courtesies are expected as the one President Bush extended.

Now here's a thought: what kind of person would bring that incident onto this thread when it is the sickness of ABC News that is on display here and the rest of us are gagging at THAT??

What kind of person, indeed...

A valid question, tx.

I'd like an answer, if you wouldn't mind, proud.

Why, on a thread about despicable behavior from the MSM, and a vile, offensive 'joke' at the expense of two honorable men, would you bring up the kind and innocent assistance of an elderly man by one of those two honorable men?

What kind of thinking diverts you so quickly from the subject of the rotten left's valueless attacks, to an attack on the President yourself?

Downright hostile is the only way to describe ABC's attitude. Wonder why they're so ruffled ?

I gather you wouldn't offer a steadying hand to an elderly person, in poor health who has difficulty walking and is a visitor to your home ?

I always love it when Britt Hume laughs at the end of "Special Report." Is there any way we could ping Mr. Hume about this for the "Grapevine" segment?

ABC News is so incredibly biased, that I make it a point to watch their fiction program whenever I have the opportunity.

I dunno why, but I get sort of transfixed during their scummy whorish broadcast and even though I keep thinking that I know what they are going to say next, I am frequently surprised.

That stupid show Lost (They talk about this stuff on the radio a lot, cuz I don't watch it.) with no discernible plot whatsoever has more credibility than their so called News.

Hastert: Letter Just a Coincidence

ABC News' Report on Speaker Hastert Set off a Wave of Reaction From Chicago Talk Radio to the Floor of the House of Representatives.

Speaker Hastert Under Investigation

 (ABC News)

By BRIAN ROSS

May 25, 2006 — ABC News' story about Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert set off a wave of reaction from Chicago talk radio to the wells of the Capitol. There it seems to have added fuel to the fire in the dispute between the executive branch and Congress.

The Department of Justice issued two separate denials of our report that officials had told us Speaker Hastert was "in the mix" of the investigation into Congress.

The speaker and his colleagues suggested the FBI was out to get him with a bogus story.

As he gaveled the House to order this morning, Hastert was praised, and ABC News was denounced by his Republican colleagues.

"This is a case of sensationalism over reporting," said Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Ga.

Congressman Lee Terry, a Republican from Nebraska, said, "This non-credible journalism I think degrades freedom of speech and the reputation of journalists."

On WGN Radio in Chicago, Hastert said the story was a leak planted by the FBI to intimidate him.

"It's just not true, you know, the Justice Department said there is no investigation, and this is one of the leaks that come out to try to, you know, intimidate people, and we're just not gonna be intimidated on it," he said.

ABC News Stands by Its Report

As for the facts of the ABC News story itself, here is what ABC News knows:

That the FBI interrogation of convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff included specific and repeated questions about his relationship with Hastert along with other members of Congress.

That, although Hastert is not a formal target, the FBI has been looking into a letter Hastert and others sent to the Secretary of the Interior urging her to block an Indian casino that would have competed with casinos represented by Abramoff.

That a few days before the letter was sent, Abramoff hosted a fundraiser for Hastert at a restaurant he owned.

The Speaker today said the letter repeated long-held views about certain Indian casino rules.

...and the sheer homo-eroticism

Only a bunch of flaming queers with their drooling tongues hanging out could dream of seeing "sheer homo-eroticism" in an international summit conference.

Now we know why the lib homo-media spew so much hate about Bush: They are ashamed that they secretly 'have the hots for' him...

I watched a little of Elizabeth Vargas last night on ABC News....the first couple stories....she can't speak! She tripped up on several words...I was surprised it went over the air like that.
