Is Mercedes going to put their competitors' products, such as BMW or Porsche on the display there as well?
Never liked Mercedes much. A bit too showy and many gadgets are "add-ons" which cost a fortune. BMW is more honest folks and the price is more reasonable. My Dad drives one and it has give him a reliable service.
Only Mercedes as far as I know. Maybe some Maybach cars, but I am not sure.

Yep. The price is exaggerated. This is for sure true. Anyway a good BMW is also a quite expensive car. I am a fan of the older models since they did not have that much electonics in it... My most favorite Mercedes was a old G 280 that I used in my earthmoving firm to check the construction sites.
Sure it isn't exactly a bargain either. But for many equivalent models a BMW make usually costs about 10% less. I just had a look at the price for new cars here, a new 530i costs about NZ$120,000 while a E320 is aroung NZ$134,000.
Either I would probably want to go for a Toyota. It is inexpensive and is very reliable mechanically speaking. Never buy a Honda - the cars can't survive a collision.
Mercedes ping.
I can't speak about the newer models, but the sheer number of fairly ancient Mercedes-Benz cars still in use testifies to their price not being terribly "exaggerated."
