That's fine. The apostles and disciples of Jesus disagreed a bit on it as well. Check the New Testament for more info.

There is nothing controversial nor particularly astute in this article.

Historically, he says, Democrats won for a while, then Republicans......yawn.

He asks the profound question: "Will the Republicans sink?" (Yawn)

All this is in peril today, as the Republican Party heads into a perfect storm in November that could sweep it away because it has failed not only to address the crisis of the age, but to comprehend it.

The moment Democrats eliminate or limit their worship of abortion, deviant "sexual orientation" and secularism they will get into power for few decades.

But I will not hold my breath.

Fast, yes. But was it inaccurate? Buchanan has a Jew problem. That much is clear.

Because he said that America should care for her interests first?

Good column by Pat.

Why did the the Pat "America Last" haters show up?

He only talked about the USA, their least favorite subject.

"America Last"...

As opposed to who? The so-called "Firsters" - who sided with Hitler pre-WWII?

As usual, Pat tells it like it IS

If your idea of "telling it like it is" includes statements like ..."as Latin America, the Middle East, Russia and China become anti-American". Since when were the Middle East, Russia and China ever "pro-American"?

I think you may be making the same mistake blacks make. You are equating disagreement with racism, or anti-semitism in this case. Why have Rabbi Yehuda Levin, Bob Novak and Michael Kinsley, all Jews, proclaimed that Pat is NOT anti-semitic?

There is a sect of Israeli Jews who think that Hamas is doing God's work. Doesn't make it so, does it? (Although Pat would agree with that notion.)

>>>>>>>>We have borders we cannot protect, as the Third World mounts an invasion of America. Once again, Buchanan is exactly right. He's been right about this issue since 1992, but all it's gotten him is endless smearing. I wish we had a President who spoke the truth the way Pat does, instead of acting as an enabler of the Third World invasion, the way Bush does.

What's that old saying, "a stopped watch is right twice a day". Why Bill Clinton was "right" about welfare reform and curbing runaway spending, wasn't he? Guess that makes him a great conservative...

>>>>>>Israel is not a Third World nation.

No, it's not. It's also not allowing millions of its citizens to come into the United States illegally. And it has absolutely nothing at all to do with Buchanan's column.

Actually, it was pretty weak considering how strong he is on the subject matter. I'm not sure that it's worth a lot of attention from Pat-haters or anyone else.

I tried to be open minded about your attack on Buchanan so I followed your link, with interest...

And shorly into the piece was part of the set-up to convince folks that Buchanan is the epitome of evil...This section was written to show us Pat's hyprocrisy...I got to this and couldn't go any furthur:

Buchanan attacks immigrants and foreigners, but his housekeeper is South American, and when he eats at his favorite restaurant -- Washington's pricey Jockey Club -- his favorite desert is the Grand Marnier soufflé.

Maybe his housekeeper is legal...And as poor as I am, I take a bite of a souffle every once in a while...And if I had the cash, I'd probably eat at the Jockey Club...I, like Pat, enjoy good food...

Wrong. Immigration as an issue has reached a critical mass.

"You sympathize with Hitler?"

Didn't take very long at all. You, along with the hysterical MSM, have tarred--or "branded," if you like--Buchanan with an image you want him to carry forever. The Left does it because it neutralizes him. You do it because, if he's a "bad" guy, you never have to listen to anything that comes from an original mind that at times comes up with quite interesting takes on issues. You never have to listen because you can automatically discount it--Don't listen to him, he sympathizes with Hitler.

Here's his "sympathetic" take on Hitler, from a 1977 column. I include it because I'm dead certain that, while you call him a Nazi sympathizer, you can't actually cite or quote anything directly, because all you're doing is piling on.

"Though Hitler was indeed racist and anti-Semitic to the core, a man who without compunction could commit murder and genocide, he was also an individual of great courage, a soldier's soldier in the Great War, a political organizer of the first rank, a leader steeped in the history of Europe, who possessed oratorical powers that could awe even those who despised him...Hitler's success was not based on his extraordinary gifts alone. His genius was an intuitive sense of the mushiness, the character flaws, the weakness masquerading as morality that was in the hearts of the statesmen who stood in his path."

That's an original thinker limning the biggest monster of the 20th Century through both an historian's and a political commentator's lenses. Deal with it.

I don't care about WW II. Hitler's been dead for 60 years.

Pat's been right on immigration - that affects our future -that's what I care about.

But that's just me.

BTW, do you dislike Novak because he converted? Myself, I don't care.

Since when were the Middle East, Russia and China ever "pro-American"?

You don't listen to the President??? China is our trading partner...Dubai is our partner in the east, along with Saudi and Egypt...Russia is now a member of the G-8, and likely will join NATO...Central and South America are our new partners...They of course, will help sink us but oh well...

Funny...You agree with Pat that the rest of the world is against us but criticize him for saying that...BUT, you don't acknowledge that Bush is feeding you a line of BULL...

Your comment was asinine.

Pointing-out that Buchanan's views on Israel and Mexico have certain similarities is not "asinine," nor can the one that is clearly incorrect (Israel) be excused by observing that the other is correct (Mexico).
