Perhaps because not all neocons are Jews and not all Jews are neocons?

While that's true, if you read his post, he was clearly refering to Jews.

Pat jumped the shark when he chose Felani as his running mate. No one would publish the man's drivel if he wasn't anti-GOP.

Pat Buchanan has shown once again that the best thing that has ever happened to the Republican Party is the day he left it

I dunno. I don't agree with everything Pat says, and he is sometimes way off, but he always brings up good points. If nothing else, his articles are well written and provide food for thought--even when he is wrong. He is also right about things quite frequently.

Most people (naturally) don't like criticism. But criticism can be a real gift--especially if it is objective and honest.

Clear thinking analysis of the current political situation.

The Republicans have problems--principally over the war and immigration--but the Democrats have not proven themselves worthy of leadership. Buchanan is exactly right.

Well, that and claiming that Washington is "Israeli-occupied territory," praising Hitler, attacking the US for fighting Hitler (instead of allying with him), defending multiple accused Nazi war criminals, attacking Israel at every possible opportunity, defending Arab terrorists, publicly mourning dead SS stormtroopers, and denying aspects of the Holocaust.

1. The "Israeli-occupied territory" was just plain funny.
2. He said Hitler was a brave soldier. What is wrong with that? Hitler was a runner and they had a high casualty rate.
3. We had a dream scenario before we screwed it up. Nazis and communists, competing forms of pure evil, killing each other off. By fighting Hitler we condemned millions in Eastern Europe to a generation of slavery from an invigorated Soviet bear.
4. Remember, Demjanjuk had been acquitted by Israel.
5 and 6 I will grant you.
7. Bitburg was a major cemetary to the Germans and it would have been insulting not to go there. Especially since Helmut Kohl was such a staunch ally of America during the Cold War.
8. All he said is that you could not kill massive amounts of people at Treblinka using one specific method of execution. I believe it was carbon monoxide. It took too long to act and many were not affected after the concentration had dispersed or been absorbed. He did not deny the holocaust.

>>>>>>>>We have borders we cannot protect, as the Third World mounts an invasion of America.

Once again, Buchanan is exactly right. He's been right about this issue since 1992, but all it's gotten him is endless smearing. I wish we had a President who spoke the truth the way Pat does, instead of acting as an enabler of the Third World invasion, the way Bush does.

Parties enter hegemony when they have resolved the crisis of the age...Yes, political parties are often "punished" for actually solving problems. When the USA won WWII, Democrats lost 54 seats in the Congress. A lot of people did not resist domestic liberalism during a period of national crisis. But once the crisis was over, the ruling party had lost a "constituency."

Maybe...just maybe you could explain away any single one of those. But taken together, if you don't see the pattern, you're fooling yourself.

Isn't he a bit like a political lucifer? He was once one of the upper level of angels in the Republican movement, he has now fallen away and all he does is wish and hope for our down fall as well.

I think you may be making the same mistake blacks make. You are equating disagreement with racism, or anti-semitism in this case.

Why have Rabbi Yehuda Levin, Bob Novak and Michael Kinsley, all Jews, proclaimed that Pat is NOT anti-semitic?

I was wondering about this the other day. Folks here appear to spend most of their time bashing Bush on immigration, or whatever, yet fail to see McCain looming on the horizon. What's up with that? [semi-rhetorical question]

Israel is not a Third World nation.

Pat's an idiot. As is anyone who considers him or herself in his camp.

By the way, did you know Pat lost a relative at a Nazi death camp? Poor guy fell out of a guard tower....

Bob Novak...

Is a former self-hating Jew who converted to Christianity. He is NOT Jewish.

Yikes, he's back to 1932.

You want foresight? Take a long view back.

Buchanan called for a fence along the border with Mexico back when he was running against Bush I to the derision of the media. Who's laughing now?

self-hating Jew

Reminds me of Kyle on South Park:

"My God. I'm a self-hating Jew. I'm a stereotype"

Frankly, I'm sick and tired of FReepers who are so eager to write off anyone they disagree with! We need ALL conservatives to overlook their occasional differences and concentrate on the many things that bind us together.

I don't know of any conservative leader or writer who doesn't get trashed here sooner or later. Given that the GOP's present dominance is because we were the party of ideas, you have to wonder how we move forward in a positive way when we tend toward cannabilism.

I've begun to think even Krauthammer and Steyn and Rush will eventually become persona non grata.

You mean like Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul and all the leaders of the early church. Membership of the early church was largely that of Jews who recognized in Jesus their promised Messiah.

Seems to me that Novak is as Jewish as ever.

He'd disagree. Vehemently.
