Pat Buchanan has shown once again that the best thing that has ever happened to the Republican Party is the day he left it.

Now if we could only get Pat to take the rest of his followers with him.

Amen

Buchanan is largely correct. The Republican Party needs a quick overhall before 2008. It simply cannot afford to embrace McCain, Gingrich, or Guiliani, because it would be a prescription for total disaster.

Mike Pence is the only fresh face on the horizon who excites me. He could remake the GOP, and get tough on the issues that the present Party, which controls every branch of the federal government, is too timid to tackle.

Time is fast running out for the Republican Party.

We should have nominated Pat instead of dumb Dole.

And we would have won!

A post like yours requires more explanation. What kind of rude awakening do I have coming? Please explain.

Pat was the party conservative stalwart, that is until he took on 'points of light' rino Bush 1. We have been wagged by the rinos for too long and Pat points it out.

What really took him out was his rebuttal to Christian bashing going on, by noting that their majority was not reflected in Ivy admissions. Then the neocons ployed the anti semitism card.

I did mean 'ploy'. Maybe 'hoax' is more apt.

If you believe what is on that site, then pray tell, what do they have to say about GW Bush? If you are going to cite sources, make sure they are legitimate.

Few today have confidence in the party of Kennedy and Clinton, Kerry and Biden, Pelosi and Reid, Sharpton and Schumer.

Comment:

That may be the only saving grace for the Republicans come this November.

The Democrat leadership is so morally corrupt and downright ignorant of what most Americans really want in a government.

The current crop of Senators leave no doubt in anyones mind about what kind of government will be installed if returned to power.

For the life of me I cannot see how the Republicans will turn around the train wreck that is coming down the track.

But turn around they must for the safety and welfare of this great country.

Our Republican leadership in both the House and Senate just does not instill any kind of confidence that they have a clue as to what needs to be done.

No one seems to have the cajones to stand up to the Democrats and tell them where the calf sucks.

We have some good Senators such as Cobrun, Cronyn, Inhofe, Sessions that seem to be saying they are tired of their leadership doing the old lay down every time the Democrats throw a fit.

I truly believe that this immigration bill will shape American and it's politics for the next Century or so.

Who knows maybe someday Vincente Fox will be running for Presidente in the New American, NOT.

"People may hate Pat but would we have the illegal alien problem we do today if we had listened to him in '92?"

Yes, I seem to recall after his very 'divisive' speech that said we were in a culture war and predicted impossibilities like women in combat and gay marriage, that a 'response' from a latino at the Democrat convention *mocked* his idea for a wall on the border saying

"Hey Pat, we are already here!"

... That was, what 10 million illegal immigrants ago?

Some posts are good for laugh and not worthy of any serious comment, as in yours.

Yep, the end of the Republican Party will be tomorrow at 3:22 PM EST (extreme sarcasm).

You RINOs can never seem to make up your mind as to whether you want conservatives in the party or not.

Why say "neocon" when what you really mean is Jew? Don't beat about the bush.

Wow, that was fast.

Fast, yes. But was it inaccurate? Buchanan has a Jew problem. That much is clear.

Well, that and claiming that Washington is "Israeli-occupied territory," praising Hitler, attacking the US for fighting Hitler (instead of allying with him), defending multiple accused Nazi war criminals, attacking Israel at every possible opportunity, defending Arab terrorists, publicly mourning dead SS stormtroopers, and denying aspects of the Holocaust.

I mean it's possible that these are all unrelated coincidences, and that Buchanan loves Jews, but come on, who are you kidding?

I have read, at the time they were written, columns and other writings by him that made me nauseous....I don't need to rely on anyone else but Buchanan's own words!

He is NO friend to Jews and has spent many thousands of words looking to prove that the holocaust was some how less bad than it was -- or -- that Jews control the Congress....etc., etc.

Why would he waste his time, unless he cared (for that) POV?

Why would he waste his time defending accused Nazi war criminal (Demjanjuk)in his column unless he cared?

Why would he waste his time "debunking" how certain gas chambers could not have killed (per his judgment) "that many Jews" unless he cared?

Why would be waste words praising Hitler as a man of courage, etc. etc. -- along with words of condemnation of what Hitler did after 1939 -- unless he cared? In this case, he sounded JUST like those who said even "though what they did on September 11th was terrible....."

Perhaps because not all neocons are Jews and not all Jews are neocons?
