The Emperor is wearing no clothes and they insist that we see him in full military regalia with all the hero medals firmly attached to the uniform that is not there. And they call us names if we dare to disagree with any word that comes out of his mouth.
So, let's take a look at your response:
Is this a post from a "conservative"?
Response from caryatid: Yes, this is a post from a conservative who [to borrow from Michael Savage because it is a succinct description] believes in borders, language and culture.
Let's analyze it.
"Emperor" a term you might hear on Air America
I suspect that you are probably young and not educated in a traditional sense [a victim, perhaps, of Government Schools?]. If you are able to do a simple google search, you will find that Hans Christian Anderson 1805-75) wrote a children's story that he entitled "The Emperor's New Clothes". It is a "fairy" tale, if you will ... or a parable if that is less offensive to your sensibilities. It certainly has nothing to do with militarism or even, really, with Bush ... and certainly not Air America. Clue: the tale has a lot to do with self-delusional people ... like Bushbots, perhaps. There are none so blind as those who WILL NOT SEE sort of sums up the little parable of the Emperor's New Clothes. LOLOLOL Someone seems to be a pathetic ignoramus or, at best, far too literal to live in the real world.Illusion of Bush as a war monger in military garb like Castro. Also the vision of the President that the weak-kneed- left-wing surrender at any cost have. And, just how is it, street_lawyer, that you are so familiar with what is said on AirAmerika? Are you their only remaining listener? Hmmmm?
This is the statement of a thoroughly brainwashed person who can only see things from a liberal perspective. Does this make your calling me a GASP! liberal mean that your entire post is "projection"? Castro? Does your "education" begin with the events of 1959? The second sentence does not make enough sense for anyone to respond to it. This is almost too pathetic to require a response at all. Perhaps if you would begin again in life ... this time with a mother who read classic children's literature to you, you would have a frame of reference for intelligent discussion. Castro? LOLOLOLOLOL! Pathetic.
The idea that no one can disagree with the President, right out of the mouth of some liberal College or worse, High School teacher. In other words lilberals.
Projection again. Sorry, street_lawyer ... no one in our family has ever had to darken the door of a Government/public school ... much less teach in one of them!
Again, you failed to grasp the clear and unambiguous meaning and intent of my post. The "idea" gleaned from my post is that the Bushbots on FRee Republic attack anyone who disagrees with the President, and/or anyone who fails to see that his vaunted proposals [in this case, his speech last night] have any merit.
The dems are using we conservatives, ...
Another clue to your literacy ... your pathetic sentence would gain some credibility if it read: "using US conservatives ...".
... like Hannity, to divide and conquer? If I didn't know better I'd believe that the dems caught Hannity with his pants down in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong person, because he knows the 11th commandment as well as I do.
Where on earth does this drivel come from? I certainly did not mention Hannity. Are you responding to someone else's post here? Are you dyslexic, perhaps? And, why would anyone on this thread have any interest in whether or not Hannity keeps his pants on?Sheesh! Back to the street with you, street_lawyer ... perhaps you will find someone there who wants to communicate on your level.
I think it was explained to me once that some of us are more equal than others ;-)
Two years of Democrat control of Congress will not ruin the country; but it will send a message to Republicans that they won't soon forget.
During that 2 years, if the Dem Congress passes lax immigration laws, Mr. Bush can dust off his veto pen, assuming he has one.
The President does have the XO he can use to make regulatory change. That and moving some Social Security bureaucrats to Nome and Shreveport would get him what he wants.
