I suspect that you are probably young and not educated in a traditional sense [a victim, perhaps, of Government Schools?]. If you are able to do a simple google search, you will find that Hans Christian Anderson 1805-75) wrote a children's story that he entitled "The Emperor's New Clothes". It is a "fairy" tale, if you will ... or a parable if that is less offensive to your sensibilities. It certainly has nothing to do with militarism or even, really, with Bush ... and certainly not Air America. Clue: the tale has a lot to do with self-delusional people ... like Bushbots, perhaps. There are none so blind as those who WILL NOT SEE sort of sums up the little parable of the Emperor's New Clothes. Here's my solution. It's simple. Threaten every Republican member of Congress that you'll stay home in Nov. unless they pass REAL immigration control, including sealing the borderS. (And copy Mr. Bush and the RNC.) And then keep your promise.

Two years of Democrat control of Congress will not ruin the country; but it will send a message to Republicans that they won't soon forget.

During that 2 years, if the Dem Congress passes lax immigration laws, Mr. Bush can dust off his veto pen, assuming he has one.

The President does have the XO he can use to make regulatory change. That and moving some Social Security bureaucrats to Nome and Shreveport would get him what he wants.
