She was fine. I was refering to a female caller just before her with a heavy accent, whining about how the latinos are being vilified by our media.
I know, it doesn't make much sense, but neither did she.
And when we do the heavy lifting for the democrats, they don't need to win.
I felt bad for that woman. Not a good day or issue to be disagreeing with Michael Savage on. I think she was trying to blame the media for this issue and not the illegality of it.
Illegals have been here for quite awhile without this current firestorm. Does anyone remember how this 'illegal' issue got to be so front and center now?
I agree. It's gotten to the point that I can't trust this man on ANYTHING. If his judgement is this bad when it comes to the border, I can only ask myself what else I don't know about.
"...why is the illegal alien problem such a big deal when it's been going on for 40 years?"
Well, for starters:
They used to come here to milk the cows on the dairies and were pretty well behaved. Fo;r the most part, they seemed a gentle people. Now, they come and steal the cows, or I should say butcher them in the fields in the middle of the night. they now bring their pregnant wives---we pay for them, give them food stamps, healthcare, and try to the best of our ability to avoid being knifed in the housewares isle of Wal-mart when they're in the midst of an argument. It's an argument in Spanish, so it's hard to determine just to what extent the fight has escalated. I have no idea what happened, but they seem to be willing to be more violent and quarelsome than before.
The guy is Chris Simcox, founder of the Minutemen. He said that it's likely U.S. gov't officials are frightened of assassinations at the hands of the drug cartels and that's one of the many reasons why they're not exactly enthusiastic about shutting down the border.
"I am still curious as to how and why this has become such a hot issue when these illegals have been here for so long."
Guestworker Program (Pronounced Amnesty)
touche
1) 9/11 brought an intense focus to national security (at least by American patriots). ...so the issue has been building steadily since that time. It's no secret now that tens of thousands of people from nations that sponsor terror - Arab/Muslim countires - have been apprehend at the border since 9/11, and most estimates are that 4 to 5 times that many actually make it into the country undetected.
2) Although illegal aliens have indeed been here for a long time, the numbers have grown expontentially over the last decade or two, and have now reached numbers that are impossible to ignore and put a huge strain on the taxpayer. Illegals get free education, medical, and they bring in third world diseases that cost a lot to treat.
I knew when Barbara Boxer barely got elected thanks to the Dim smear campaign on Bruce Herschenson that she would be there for life. That election was the last straw for me to finally get the hell out of California.
I mean why would a state that large elect as senators two San Francisco liberal women who are practically clones of each other to represent the diverse interests of the whole state was beyond me. I left and have had no regrets since.
That last caller reflects what is wrong with the whole country. There's a virus called 'liberalism' thats affected half of our countrymen. They now live in a delusional world where down is up and right is wrong and we have to fight them as well as our real enemies.
We conservatives are the last line of defense between what's left of our once great country and the death of our country. Thank God for conservative spokesman like Savage.
did I wake up in some alternate universe? ben stein is on the oreally fuctor talking about 10% surcharge do those makeing over 1 million a year.
"Or will his field of dreams come crashing down when President Bush calls out the national guard on him?"
So ironic. Propably the only time the National Guard will be called out is when there is a Million Man Anti-Illegal march on the border.
"Dividing Conservative Repub's is the Demoncrats plan for victory."
Some people here do not understand that the GOP controls all three branches of Government...not the Democrats.
Thats all they have left to defend Bush and his administrations policies...blame the democrats.
