More hypocrisy. It's an easy problem to solve. Hey Bill, how about you make MS Office freeware?

Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates said Wednesday he wished he were not the world's richest man.

Among other things that he is, Bill Gates now can be said to be a BIG FAT LIAR. If Billy boy did not want to be rich, why the hell did he build a $60 million mansion on Lake Washington, with pop out of the floor TV sets, and lights that turn on simply by walking into a room, and driving all his big cars, and jets, and boats, and giving all his millions to AIDS research and schools and the poor. Bill loves to get publicity. You cannot move here in Sodom on the Sound without being reminded of the Gates. He is a puking liberal leftists liar.

Or perhaps invest his money in movie hits like "Heavens Gate""Springtime For Hitler".

I don't agree with affirmative action, but its pretty hard to make the case that white Americans or Europeans are as much in need of charity as the average African. There are certain places where people don't have a very high quality of life, and its hard to find fault in someone wanting to improve that.

Which explains his family's hiring of teams of attorneys to form complex trusts so that the money can be passed to his heirs without the bite of estate taxes.

This is disingenuous PR.

well I know that the foundation has provided a ton of money on things like immunizations for African and 3rd world children.
They do some very good work.

Bill and Melinda Gates foundation does some wonderful things to make this world a better place...

Promoting abortion, Planned Parenthood Int'l and the UN's population control efforts are not "wonderful things" in my book.

Hi, Katrina victim here.

I've seen wealth and I've seen poverty, and I've come to the conclusion that poverty sucks.

That is all.

Wow that was an interesting article, and it makes some good points. I still think Bill Gates is a good man for giving some of his money away, though, even if he does give to mostly third world causes.

Oh, wait! That is the Democrat's secret philosophy!

Actually, I agree that Bill Gates is a good man and more importantly he is a "self-made" man. I hated it when Janet Reno and company went after him to prop up Netscape. In America, we have a real love/hate relationship with rich folk.

The Microsoft co-founder said that the person he learned most from in the world, aside from technology colleagues, was fellow-billionaire and legendary investor Warren Buffett.

Pathetic and pitiful.

i like rock/movie stars who say, "i wish i could just go to the store or to the movies and not have anyone bother me."

boo-freakin'-hoo. if they were un-famous for 10 minutes it would KILL them. they all thrive on the notoriety and cry when they have to deal with anything having to do with the unwashed masses.

YEP.....and his Daddy wants all in WA State and the Nation to PAY ESTATE TAXES....but most of those with enough money to be affected can't really afford the TRUST ATTORNEYS and Foundations The GATES family (And Buffet) has.....not to mention hiring family and friends to run the Trusts and Foundations......DISINGENUOUS PR is absolutely correct!
