San Diego Fox 6 Alert

I've never posted a new thread before and was going to put this with Santa Ana but now there are details so I think it needs it's own thread.

Reports for help from all police to respond to Vista, California for unrest related to the immigration protests.

I'd been hearing sirens racing north on 15 for over the last 50 minutes and was trying to find out what was going on, as after hearing and seeing groups of 2-6 patrol cars racing up the freeway sirens wailing every 4-8 minutes made it apparent something was going on.

The local Fox 6 news at 10 in San Diego reported it as breaking news at the top of the hour that all patrol officers were being asked to report to Vista to assist in dealing with the unrest.

I will look for a link now, but wanted to post in case anyone in the area has more information.

Yeah, I actually was expecting problems in Escondido, and maybe even the southern part of Poway. The illegals on the corners here in the RB area were all noticeably missing at the places I've seen them everyday for years.

Unless they arrest them, I suspect going to break it up in Vista will result in them just moving the situation to Oceanside or maybe Escondido.

Me too...still not finding one. Our local news stations are horrid with their websites most of the time... The Union usually has at least headlines of breaking things.

Nothing on the CHP website, though when this started I came to look (first thinking it was an accident as we've had a lot of bad ones the few months at the messy Lake Hodges construction area) and I noticed that a bit before 9 they cancelled all the responses to minor incidents, which usually just happens when there's weather issues.

Silly KUSI and Fox 6 don't seem very on top of this given the numbers of police that have responded...based at least on what's coming from south of 78 on 15...if anywhere near that number is coming from the areas west that are getting there via 5 it sure seems like this must be more of a story than they want us to know at the moment.

I didn't see your photos (Can you repost here or ping me to that thread). I stopped with the other thread a while ago. I saw some somewhere of the closing of the border at Otay Mesa.

I'm now a little concerned about what "shape" (read, drunk) our group in the canyon will be in when they get back "home". (geez, what a sentence!)

LOL, That was one of the areas I noticed them missing too! I happened to be in more areas where they normally are than I do on a typical day, and it was definitely noticeable at all of them. Both sides in RB and also in several Poway areas, as well.
