The Serbs were probably the second most depised people on Hitler's list. The Serbian uprising (coup d'etat, March 27, 1941) delayed Operation Barbarossa (the invasion of the USSR) and caused the Germans to get bogged down and decimated by the Russian winter. His bombing of Belgrade was codenamed Operation Punishment for a reason. In addition, the unrest in the Balkans forced Hitler to send a bunch of divisions to the peninsula - the divisions he needed on the Eastern Front.

Had he had the extra soldiers and the crucial weeks he had to spend on the Balkan problem, the course of history would've been much different.

His hatred of the Serbs, however, goes back to WWI. The Royal Serbian Army humiliated the Cental Powers by pulverizing the invading Austro-Hungarian armies three times in as many months in the early days of the war. The first Allied victory in WWI was actually won by the Serbs (The Battle of Tser).

Yes, it was a fine interview/article with Julia Gorin. She helped to highlight the plight of the remaining Jewish families in Kosovo in 1999. They were torched out of their homes en masse by the KLA death squads and with NATO officers watching.

The Saudis have been pouring money into Kosovo, recruiting the young and the terminally dim-witted to their cause.

It's funny, but every single minority strongly supported the Serbs in Kosovo: the Turks, the Rom, many of the Roman Catholic ethnic Albanians, the so called loyalists.
The Circassians, in a couple of villages, were extremely pro Serbian, were armed by the Belgrade authorities to fight the KLA, and were the first minority group to be ethnically cleansed: in 1998.

Under Serb rule their culture was respected: they could be educated in their own language, etc.

And now they've all gone.

Don't worry about Hoplite, his definition of evidence is Islamist military intelligence agents who were trained by Tehran.

Sorry for the late response to this, but I think you may have confused "Serbs", with "Ukranians", in your late-night-TV documentary viewing. There were NO Serbs among the many nationalities who faught in the Waffen SS.

But there were quite a few Ukranians serving as camp guards. Most notable among them, a former American Steelworker, John Demjanjuk, whom Justice Dept. investigators identified as a former camp guard named "Ivan the Terrible". His trials -- in the U.S., and in Israel -- took over a decade, I think, and were sometimes front page stuff.

But he, like the other guys, were all Ukranians, not Serbs

To be honest, I can't be sure that "Wahhabism" has had much of an influence either way. Big piles of money have been spent on assorted construction projects, but has it really made those folks any more intolerant, arrogant and paranoid than they were before?

Who could tell, one way or the other?

(It's like wondering if the influence of the Catholic church has been growing on Tony Soprano, because Carmella and some of the other wives have Pollo Vesuvio with the priest, at Artie's Place, once a week?)

In Third reich, Concentration camps were guarded by special SS units. The most of them were Germans, but there were many Ukrainians, Lithuanians and others.

Hitler's Balkan Waffen SS units were Croats, Muslims and Albanians. They were guarding the transports towards the death camps.

There were no Serbs in SS. What you claim is not supprted by the hard historical facts.

I have no idea what kind of WWII documentaries you have seen. I have seen Martians on TV landing close to The White House (Cross my heart, it was on Sci-Fi channel)

it is not by accident that the "Wahhabi" phenomenon emerged at such a sensitive time for our national cause when we were in danger of being biologically exterminated. It was quite typical that the political-military establishment of the Slav-Orthodox Serbs would allow this despicable phenomenon to spread in our ethnic lands because "Wahhabism" did the dirty work for Pan-Slavism by sowing division among Albanians over religious nonsense coming from Bin-L! adin types and by portraying Albanians as "Islamic fundamentalists" in the eyes of the international community.

Just goes to show - if anything is jacked out of shape, it's a Serb's fault.
