Gee, I disagree with the tax laws. I think I wont pay anymore taxes. And expect the government to give me a pass.

...illegals don't believe in laws...

...starting sneaking across the border. Despite the spin being foisted upon us by the complicit MSM, illegals ARE lawbreakers, and getting away with one emboldens them to get away with another...and another...and another (all in the name of "a better life").

As another FReeper so aptly put it:
Illegals lie, cheat and steal.
Therefore, they ARE criminals.

I've seen legal-to-transfer gray market bikes out there on the internet for huge prices, exotic stuff like the Honda NSR and Japanese mini-rockets.

Thankfully my "assault motorcycle" doesn't need to be gray market; it was legally imported in 1985, a Yamaha RZ-350. It was the last year for legal 2-stroke street bikes.

Can't help but wonder if anyone with a false drivers license was a cause of a fatal accident.

Can't help but wonder how many with a false drivers license were the cause of a fatal accident (or even more prevalent, the cause of an accident without any insurance).

It happens with such frequency in rural central California that OUR insurance rates go up to compensate for the unlawful ones.

Great info and I firmly believe that one of the "rights" these illegals are so worked up about is having the "right" to receive welfare under more than one name. There's an old FR thread that discussed a ring being penetrated that supplied millions of fake ID's into places like Calif. Combine that with such lax controls on personal ID's there's no telling how many billions are being given to these people under false pretenses.

Immigration 'Solutions': Part II
By Thomas Sowell
April 13, 2006

The massive marches organized and orchestrated by people supporting illegal immigrants have created a political problem for elected officials. Meanwhile, uncontrolled borders create a major social and security problem for the country. Whose problem are the politicians trying to solve -- their own or the nation's?

FREEPER ACTIVISM When government officials violate their fiduciary duties and abuse their government offices by accepting fraudulent documentation for drivers licenses and other tax-paid govt services, the financial interests of tax-exempt California bondholders and investors in school, and highway bond issues have been placed in jeopardy. IMMIGRATION POLITICS: MARCHING MADNESS
(pro-aliens deranged conduct hurting cause)
By John Podheretz NY POST

SOURCE: http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/opedcolumnists/66798.htm

EXCERPT........things are moving rapidly in the direction of the immigration restrictionists. That may not be due to anything they've done or said. Rather, the idea that something has to be done about illegal immigration is in part due to politically deranged conduct on the part of those who claim to be working on behalf of illegal aliens.

The demonstrations - are politically incomprehensible. If their purpose is to influence the political debate in a direction favorable to the interests of illegal aliens, then their organizers are deluded. The rapidly rising concern about the issue is a clear indication that the first round of demonstrations a few weeks ago, featuring Mexican flags dominating American flags and wild talk about American imperialism, were self-defeating.

There is no chance on earth that Congress is going to adopt a wildly liberal set of policies on illegal immigration. ......the immigration interest groups and others seem intent on radicalizing the debate, in making it clear to many people who aren't yet committed to one side or the other on this issue that the pro-immigrant side is nuts and the anti-immigrant side is more sensible.

The direction all this will take in years to come is unknowable. It may align Hispanics with the Democrats in the long term. On the other hand, it may drive more Democratic voters of modest means into the Republican camp, offsetting the Democratic gain. No matter how you slice it, these demonstrations were and are a horrible mistake.

Meanwhile, uncontrolled borders create a major social and security problem for the country. Whose problem are the politicians trying to solve -- their own or the nation's?

The illegal invasion has concentrated the attention of Americans on the nature of democracy and its central bulwark against anarchy---our Constitution and the rule of law.

The arrogance of these illegal mental midgets---- lettuce pickers and hamburger flippers. These imbeciles actually believe wavng the Mexican flag in our faces helps their case.

Some lowlife drug lord actually told these morons that Americans are a bunch of suckers who cannot see past the smoke and mirrors, and that we would sit still for their abhorent immigration amnesty bill.

The drug cadres, the pushers and smugglers, are hiding behind the backsides of vote-hungry US elected officials bandying about the bill that treats these lawbreakers better than law-abiding US citizens.

No one is impressed by this cadre of spineless marionettes dancing limply on the strings of corruption, manipulated by the unseen alien horde puppetmasters lurking behind the scenes, ready to pounce on US assets.

I totally agree about Maryland.

A neighbor's son is an undocumented alien.

Last month he told me he got a State issued ID fromt the motor vehicle administration and with that he was able to obtain a lerner's driver permit.

My girlfriend's car was totalled by an illegal alien with no license and no insurance. Maryland's NO FAULT insurance law made sure her insurance company (Liberty Mutual Insurance Co) reimbursed her for the outstanding balance on her car loan...less the $1000 deductable.

They then issued her the renewal premium which went from $1600 per year (bus policy) to over $6,000 per year.

Of course, she had to enroll her mandatory insurance thru Maryland Auto Insurance Fund (MAIF) where she is placed into a high risk pool.

The illegal alien woman was not even given a ticket nor her car impounded. She was released on the spot...by order of the DEMOCRATIC county executive and then DEMOCRATIC governor.

No report was even completed by the police officer and we could not locate the illegal alien because we had no address or phone.

Yet, the same police department hides out at popular 4 way stop signs to give tickets to drivers not wearing seatbelts.

It's criminal what the State of Maryland is doing in the name of increasing their voter base.

These knuckleheads from both parties need to figure out and soon that the La Raza types only have allegiance to one party and it sure isn't Rep or Dem. So his-pandering to them might seem to be the right move short term but they'll be only aiding and abetting the longer term goals of creating a LR third party with a large voting bloc.
