Demonstrations, From Coast to Coast

As an exercise in citizen journalism, we put out a call to readers to attend yesterday's demonstrations in support of illegal immigration, film them, and send us the resulting video. We didn't know what to expect, but the results were gratifying. We got lots of submissions, both of video and photographs. As a result, we've put together a Power Line Video of yesterday's rallies, from Seattle to Washington, D.C., which you can watch here.

In fact, as our video shows, the New York demonstration (like those in some other cities) was organized and controlled in substantial part by International A.N.S.W.E.R., the Communist organization that we have written about many times, most recently here. A.N.S.W.E.R.'s National Coordinator, Brian Becker, was prominent at the New York rally; he is the man in the blue shirt on the right in the photo below. Click to enlarge:

Note A.N.S.W.E.R.'s large "amnesty" banner with the words "Full Rights For All Immigrants!" as well as the Che Guevara banner.

International A.N.S.W.E.R. passed out thousands of mass-produced, yellow and black signs with exactly the same message. You can see them prominently displayed in our video footage from New York.

I've gone to some web sites and drawn some connections, like to Workers' World and to Troops Out Now, and earlier, into some Chicanoist sites with ties to Communist organizations. Another round of pro-illegal immigration demonstrations is scheduled to take place tomorrow. One of the groups organizing tomorrow's demonstrations is a Communist organization called International A.N.S.W.E.R. A.N.S.W.E.R., which has championed every tyrant from Kim Il John to Fidel Castro to Saddam Hussein, has now taken up the cause of illegal immigration, and was the principal organizer of the massive demonstration in southern California a week or two ago. Unfortunately for A.N.S.W.E.R., the meeting was attended by a couple of bloggers from Vital Perspective, who taped the meeting and reported on it on their site. They shared their audiotape of the proceedings with us, and we have posted a short excerpt on Power Line Video. In this excerpt, you can hear Becker wonder whether there are undercover policemen present (he forgot about bloggers), pose a tough question to his audience, and speculate about how illegal immigrants could be the "catalyst for a broader class struggle, even possibly a revolutionary struggle."

1. Extortion under color of official right or extortion by a public official through misuse of his/her office is supervised by the Public Integrity Section, Criminal Division.

2. Extortion and robbery in labor-management disputes is supervised by the Labor-Management Unit of the Organized Crime and Racketeering Section, Criminal Division.

3. All other extortion and robbery offenses not involving public officials or labor-management disputes are supervised by the Terrorism and Violent Crimes Section, Criminal Division.

I think we also need to put together a list of companies that do not hire illegal aliens to do their work.

For one thing, I'm pretty sure that In-n-Out Burgers do not hire illegal aliens. It's the one fast food chain that I can go to in San Jose, and they understand what I am saying!!!! They all speak perfect English!!!

If I go to McDonalds, half the time they don't get my order correct. I rarely go to McD's because of this.

Faith is not about what churchmen do or don't do. It's about your own relationship with the Son of God who saved you.

It would be a very useful thing, over the next three days, to find where you left that relationship and pick it up again.

Faith is not about what churchmen do or don't do. It's about your own relationship with the Son of God who saved you.

And my relationship with The Lord is fine. The Catholic Church is lost. I am Christian. I am also an American. A citizen of the nation that has promoted the fairest and best way of life ever known to man. Also the nation that has sent forth millions to spread the word of Jesus far more than any other.

But the RCC is not what Jesus had in mind. Art treasures? Property? Indulgences? All are a big part of the Church. But they don't feed the poor or spread the true word.

If Jesus came back today, he would chase the bishops out.

Time for the Church to realize that we Americans respect our laws. Illegal means illegal.
