John Kerry Opposes Iran Nuke Strike, Backs Censure

2008 presidential hopeful John Kerry said Sunday that he opposes a U.S. strike against Iran's nuclear facilities that would involve nuclear bunker-busting bombs - and announced his support for Sen. Russ Feingold proposal to censure President Bush.

Asked about reports that U.S. contingency plans include using "tactical nuclear devices" in a possible Iran attack, Kerry told NBC's "Meet the Press":

"I think that is another example of the move from the hip, shoot from the hip, cowboy diplomacy of this administration . . . For us to think about exploding tactical nuclear weapons in some ways is the height of irresponsibility. It would be destructive to any non-proliferation efforts. And the military assessment is [that] it won't work; that even this bombing strategy itself would not work."

Kerry said that instead, the Bush administration should beef up diplomatic efforts and enlist the help of other nations to persuade Tehran to abandon it's nuclear weapons program.

Kerry says:

"For us to think about exploding tactical nuclear weapons in some ways is the height of irresponsibility."

And I say that it is irresponsible not to considered any and all options when it comes to protecting yourself, your allies, and your vital interest.

Am I aloud to call Kerry a Commie.

Polls say the Dems have taken the spot for national security that used to be held by the GOP. Guess these kind of statements will continue to help them.lol.

Although I don't agree with Bush 100%, those times that I do disagree I think about how close we came to this moron getting elected and suddenly Bush isn't that bad.

Things could be better but they sure as hell coulda been a helluva lot worse.

I really wonder what it's like to be a reflexively homicidal-suicidal, willfully evil, non-analytical, lying, pro-criminal communist.

I wonder what it's like, being John Kerry.

Look, the entire current Democrat Party is nothing but a bunch of traitors and weak sisters. If the American people fail to scope this out, let them be damned, and let the country go under. The pattern is as clear as a bell. We have not learned the impact of 911 and events before, tolerated and fostered by the weakness and non-protective action of Bill and Hillary Clinton, etc. Actually, I hate to say this, but the American p[eople are fools, and are going to pay a heavy, painful price they never dreamed of, if the current Democrat vermin ever get in power again. I hope and pray I am proved wrong, but I don't think so.

Jean Francois' solution to the madman of Teheran is to grab our ankles and bend over so we can get a nuke up our rear end. HAHAHAHAHA. Very funny.

Backs Censure

How about the cowardly US Senate then taking it to a vote?

The worst thing about people like Kerry, McCain, Hillary and so many others in Washington is how they are such huge disappointments. When you are a kid you see people in high places and you just know that they are wiser and smarter and you can depend on them. But you get older and find out that is not the case at all and instead of being the best the are second class. They turn out to be less than ordinary people that get themselves in to extraordinary positions of power.

How does this happen? How do people like John Kerry rise to such high levels when they are not qualified? I think one of the reasons is that they have nameless and faceless people behind them that supply them with the money and the structure they need to get elected. Which means Kerry and most of the rest in Washington work for people other than those that vote for them. Yea, I know, that's painfully obvious. But what do we do about it? I suggest something like the following made in to law:

The only person who may donate money or anything else of value to a person holding federal office or a candidate for federal office is a person (the voter) who is legally registered to vote for the person in office or running for office. The voter may not donate money or anything else of value to holder of a federal office or a candidate running for federal office in excess of $1500.00 per election and such things of value may not be provided through the vote from any third party.

Since the day GWB was elected, has ever a week gone by where these pukes haven't been screaming for someone's resignation, impeachment, censure or arrest?

This is going to eventually backfire on them.

All I can say is IF a democrat is elected prez, they are going to have one HELL of a rough ride and it ain't gonna be pretty.

"I was against censure before I was for impeachment." This is Cheri's way of pandering to the Democrats' kook base.

I thank God almost every day (well once a week at least) that John Kerry didn't win in '04. More important than Bush reminaing President was someone the likes of John Kerry NOT becoming President. What would have JFK done right after entering the WH ?

[In a flat high monotonous voice]: "I will roll back the taxes for all Americans who make more than $200,000". Death knell for America's small businesses and creators of jobs and wealth. We wouldn't be hearing the fantastic jobs numbers that we are hearing today (no thanks to the MSM/DBM)

[In a flat high monotonous voice]: "I will fight a more 'sensitive' war on terror" : Translation - hasty withdrawl from Iraq, Iraq in chaos, Madraasas all over Iraq, planning begins for next 9/11

Immediate legalization of all illegals (must faster than the RINOs ever could)

A few more new Federal depts (more than Bush had/has planned)

.... whatever else..
