Manufacturing growth cooled slightly in March, but a pickup in raw material costs and other solid economic reports out Monday show bolstered views of more rate hikes.
The Institute for Supply Management's manufacturing index fell 1.5 points to 55.2, short of views and dragged down by slower growth in new orders and jobs.
Separately, the Commerce Department said construction spending jumped 0.8% in February from January's upwardly revised level thanks to home building. Pending home sales slid in February but from a revised January, said a third report.
