Wonder how these people are going to pay for this. Strange that a bunch of Communists would be looking to make a profit.

I could not listen to her mean venom for very long. And she repeats the same thing everyday... it's amazing Libs can stand to listen to her standard Bush is a liar rant day after day after day....

They think that if they can stave off the inevitable death of AirAmerica until after the November elections, it will be of such great use getting democrats elected that it will justify the megabucks being thrown down the hole.

Anita and Sheldon Drobny, two of the founders of Air America Radio, are taking the next step to ensure that liberal programming stays on the air: obtaining radio stations. They're buying the stations that broadcast NPR??
To: abb
Hey, Mr. Radio Station owner. Want to have a small fortune?
Well then, start with a large fortune and convert to Air America format! In no time at all it will be a small fortune!

I thought they were having cash flow problems? Bills unpaid etc.
Do they think Rush owns the stations he appears on?

I think this is great. If they are willing to put their own money on the line and see if they can make money trying to sell Err America to liberals then more power to them.
I only mind when liberals want to tax my money and use it to support liberal messages that can't make it in the free market.

Who's going to put up the dough for this Titanic adventure?
Is there any word on how the Drobnys intend to actually make a profit with the radio equivalent of a rat-dropping pie?

It ended up being only a few month reprieve, as even leftists eventually get tired of throwing their money down a hole.Gee, they never tire of throwing someone else's money down a hole.

Gary Krantz, the president of Air America, said listeners were "very vocal and very passionate" when the network went off the air in Phoenix in early March. He said the Drobnys subsequently leased radio station KPHX-AM in Phoenix, where Air America returns today. As Rush always says, the right to speak freely doesn't guarantee the right to be heard....
I give them 6 months in Phoenix. Tuned in to see what it was and they don't even have a news break on the 1/2 hour - they just play a country western song about "taking back our country". Still seeking donations . . . . .what do you think? Dr. Newcomb should go back to surgery.

I have a gut feeling that the Drobnys couldn't care less about lib programming, but are using it to generate cash in a fashion similar to a Ponzi Scheme.

Mike Malloy is a wisp of an old man with a few dyed hairs on top of his head. Very fragile. Helps to explain why he is so bitter and profane.

Liberals pouring more money down that hole in the ground. Kewl.
