Bush preps historic Third Term - memo
The Register ^ | April 1, 2006 | Thomas C Greene

Posted on 04/01/2006 9:08:02 AM PST by fzx12345

The US Department of Justice (DoJ) and the office of the White House Counsel are preparing a draft document laying out the President's wartime authority to remain in office past 2008, The Register has learned.

The scheme is described as an emergency "continuity presidency," made necessary by the extraordinary circumstances and unique challenges of protecting the United States from the threat of international terrorism.

Remember when some of us were concerned that BJ Cintoon would try to find a way to extend his term of office? I can't remember what the scenarios were.

But lefties reading this might not catch on to the publication date, and go bonkers...

Heck No. He needs to stay on the ranch. Eight years is enough. That is why they have term limits. Clinton was four years too long and it is turning out that Bush is too.

I must admit that I was starting to wonder as inauguration day 2001 approached and we still didn't have a winner.

This is true.

What makes it likely to happen is that Bill Clinton is supporting him because of a protocol in which he becomes a "co-president".

Googling "bud jamison" Horowitz Feinberg, the first link seems to be a Three Stooges site.

Appropriate, I think . . .

Anyone else smell a hoax/parody?

It's no parody. The real bizarre part is that Dubya's leaving Laura for Hillary too.

There actually was talk/is a measure in congress to change the term limit to 3 terms.

It's a democratic measure though. The one that also allowed for naturalized citizens to also be allowed POTUS status.

The dems wanted to get slick Willy back in office as a prelude to Hillary taking over. They allowed for naturalized citizens as a caveat to the GOP.(Thinking any of us really wanted 'the Governator' to run for POTUS)

Imagine "President Soros"... frightening.

What I have posted in Conservative chat rooms when a drooling liberal comes in is something to the effect: Haven't you heard. GW has admitted he "stole" the 2000 election. So he is admitting that and is running for his second term allowed by the Constitution in 2008. You can almost hear the blood pressure go up in them.

In other news, ABC, CBS, and NBC are all reporting of mass suicides at multiple locations including the Democration Undergroung, Hollywood, San Francisco, Seattle, and other liberal infested places around the country. Although not yet confirmed there is also news that liberal democrat activist George Sorros, another Bush hater hung himself this morning.

All this because of news this morning that President Bush is drawing up plans for a possible third term in office and both the republican congress and the Supreme court are warming to the idea.

What needs to be posted at the Dump is a message from John Edwards' wife that W just called, offered the Breck Guy the #2 slot for the third term, and he accepted. :-)

And in keeping with the April Fool's tradition, even if it is a day late. . .

Top ten benefits of The Eternal Presidency:

1. Halliburton gets to run the world.

2. More Mexican slave laborers coming in to build the gated communities rich Republicans will live in. They'll clean our toilets, mow our lawns, pick our vegetables, and when they get sick, the great, unwashed working class trash get to pay for their health care.

3. The War on Terror will continue forever. Hey, it's the only war we've got. Don't knock it.

4. Lots of really great, cheap, Chinese DVD players.

5. Wal-Mart will have superstores on every corner of every street in every city in America.

6. Round up of liberals for shipment to Gitmo.

7. Unlimited supply of weapons and ammo available to all loyal Americans.

8. Dick Cheney gets to shoot more lawyers.

9. Relocation of the nation's capital to Dubai.

And finally, last but certainly not least. . .

10. Rush Limbaugh gets permanent access to the Lincoln bedroom and is recognized for what he is -- the greatest living human being since Jesus Christ and official Son of God.

And we all know it just don't get any better than that.
