The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join with us tonight as we attend this public event:
From above linked source:
The Prince Georges Peace and Justice Coalition will host one of a group of Iraqi women now touring the United States.
Eman Ahmad Khamas(*) will give a firsthand account of how the occupation of Iraq has changed everyday life there, and explain why she and her sisters on the tour want the U.S. to withdraw from their homeland.
This begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Greenbelt Community Center, 15 Crescent Road, Greenbelt. Courtesy of Code Pink and Global Exchange. Call 301-577-2350.
*Eman Ahmad Khamas was the director of Code Pink's Occupation Watch in Baghdad. She's not simply "a lowly government translator" as she wishes folks to believe.
Note: Code Pink had earlier announced an event to be held today at 1pm at Prince Georges Community College, but after searching news and local sources this morning, it appears that the venue and the time have been changed to the above highlighted info.
WHAT: A Leftist Moonbat anti-America propaganda event.
WHEN: We will gather between 6:30 and 7pm. Some Freepers may choose to hang out outside with educational signs about Code Pink for arriving event attendees, and then go inside to attend the event. Others will arrive and join the audience in stealth mode.
Note: As DC Chapter members experienced at a previous Code Pink Baathist Propagandathon, Code Pink may not take questions from audience members who are well-known Freepers, or who are sitting near well-known Freepers, or who look like they aren't Moonbats. If you want to be called on, you may want to consider this, and choose to spread yourselves out through the audience.
WHERE: Greenbelt Community Center - 15 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, MD
WHY: To see and hear, in person, the lies spewing forth from the Homeland Insurgents' mouths, and perhaps to confront them on their lies.
EAGLES UP !!
FYI ping.
They are hoping to get their status back they had under the old system. They are not propped up by Saddam anymore so they are sucking on Code Pink.
Eman had a very cushy life as an employee of Saddam's Baathist government. She yearns for the good old days.
I'll be there!
Maybe they will talk about the current status of the Marsh Arabs...
Life is good flying under the Saddam radar and collecting a pay check while children around you get their fingernails pulled out.
Hey, do you have any contact info for the GW college Republicans?
;-)
Good Luck Tonight. Make Code Pink Red.
First, if Iraq is on the verge of civil war, with American soldiers wantonly killing innocent civilians all over the place, how are her kids able to dodge the bullets, cluster bombs, tanks, etc., to even get to school.
Second, I thought she said (at AA Community College and elsewhere) that Americans had destroyed the schools and had not repaired and rebuilt them. Where is this school in Baghdad that her kids are going to?
Third, if Americans have utterly destroyed the infrastructure in Iraq, how is it that she can call her daughters on their cell phones?
And that leads to my final question (for now)... If Iraq is just a smoldering rubble-pile, thanks to the evil Americans, where in the world did she find three cell phones to even use as paperweights?
bttt
Also, if there is a mic set up for questions, get up there fast. Think about a question while you are in line.
Bring a pad and pen to write down the statement they said and your question.
Can't make it tonight. Used up the free time last night with the great news of Cindy-True-Supporter's son and the Olney Report. Gatta make some money now.

RE: A.A. Comm. College
If they hog the mike and it startr to turn into a monologue, be sure to interrupt and ask if they are going to answer questions.
The statement was also brought up about U.S. snipers in the minerets of mosques. Why didn't the MSM and Arab TV go crazy with that "news".
It was also brought up that ALL the money for Iraq has been siphoned off by Halaburton and others. Again, why didn't the MSM and Arab TV go crazy with that "news".
Good Luck tonight - give them hell!!! [Mr] T
"UDAY AND QUSAY ARE ED-DAY."
[Apologies to whomever I stole that from.]
If I can find a sitter, I'll be there. Heck, I may even just take my kids. My wife will be busy so I've got watch duty.
Amnesty International writes about the complicity of The General Federation of Iraqi Women in the murders of women in Iraq.
Eman is a Baathist apologist. She has the blood of thousands on her hands.
I wish I had seen this earlier. I would have sat your kids.
I wrote a post about their last speech with this lady (http://www.soldiersperspective.us/?p=887) taken from video that a Freeper gave me. I have two pages of questions derived from her stupidity.
I can't let this go. I'm bringing the kids with me.
Well, I went to the event. It didn't take long before I was pretty much carried out the door. I began with an introduction that I was an American soldier, in fact an interrogator. She had mentioned that soldier were killers of innocent elderly women and children, arbitrarily sniping them from minerets. I told her if I was a murderer. She didn't have an opportunity to answer before some Code Pink whacko shouted out a resounding YES!
From that point, yelling ensued. I asked Eman why she didn't go around talking about the positive things we were accomplishing like the repairing of amusement parks in Fallujah and Baghdad. Obviously, she seemed surprised by this.
The crowd began shouting and I started and everyone was just shouting. I had single handedly thrown the whole affair into chaos. Now, while that wasn't my intention, i'm glad that I made it difficult for them to continue their absurdities.
I ended up leaving because the old hags were surrounding me yelling in my ears and I had my children with me. I didn't want to subject them to the kind of "discussion" the opposition was engaged in. They threw swear words and walked right up next to my kids to shout at me. I decided to leave so that they were kept safe. I'm not sure if tgslTakoma was able to get anything in, though she filmed the whole thing.
My kids are safely home now. It was fun and I'm glad I got to go. Too bad they can't discuss things in a reasonable manner.
Great job! Keep on fighting the good fight.
You missed the discussion between a free Iraqi (and soon to be American citizen) and Eman the Baathist. He would have loved to have met you and thanked you personally for freeing his people.
The evening devolved further after you left. Kristinn, Nofel and I were all able to make comments and confront the Insurgent/Baathist woman, much to the dismay of the leftist Moonbats in the room. They are not a very peaceful bunch. They are useful idiots, to be sure. It was an exciting evening.
Whoda thunk PG county has a community college.
Thanks for the ping.
Homeland Insurgents Bump

"It was an exciting evening."
Better than dinner and a movie?
; )
Tonight I got to film a movie. And that is good for our side. And very bad for the Homeland Insurgents of Code Pink.
:-)
I'm sure Eman is giving Medea and Gael an earful tonight; and is wishing that she still had Saddam and his henchmen to come after us (Honor Roll tonight - chcknhawk, BufordP, Kristinn, Nofel and me).
Poor Eman. She had no Code Pink handlers with her tonight.
PLEASE..... try to send a short clip of it to video@nbc4.com see if they broadcast it!!! Send the whole thing to Fox News.
very nice salute
Looks like the "big guns" showed up. Can't wait to see the movie.
Thanks all for going on short notice. You to Nofel. I assume you are a Lurker since 'Nofel' is not on FR's system.
FReep On!!
[Mr] T
way better than dinner and a movie. Had it not been for the disrespect shown to my kids, I would have stayed a little longer.
I was watching heartwarming footage of U & C's villa being blown to smithareens with them in it, while Sean Hannity spoke their epitaph over the radio: "Uday and Cusay are Dead-ay!"
Hooray!
Code pink Ping
I lived for quite some time in Greenbelt. Im really surprised that they agreed to this. The civic center of the town is the American Legion, I know, I worked there for a few years. They must have misrepresented themselves to the city, because Ill bet if they knew who these people were, they would not be allowed to speak..
BUMP!
I've always wondered what it is (besides personality ailments) that makes members of all the left wing activist communities tick. Very instructive.
I've haven't entirely given up on movies myself, but you do have a point there.
Ping!
Ping
when did you work at 136? I worked there to back in 79-82 and grew up in Greenbelt.
Ever notice that "Uday" is "DU" in pig latin?
I worked there for 2 years starting in 91. Ill bet we know a lot of the same people. I know for a fact my boss at the time worked there in 82..
