And populations are collapsing in Europe and elsewhere in the West. Ain't death good?
Any drug can be an absolute killer when used improperly.
I have been following the developments regarding RU-486 and I hope they can overcome the PR issue. Why would I like to see this 5mg. pill or less hit the market?
All these women who are talking about the monthly visitor as if it is some holy sacrament haven't been in my shoes. They haven't been able to leave the house because of 'flooding,' they don't need narcotics to deal with the pain several days a month, they don't call in sick and then be 'mocked' (I've broken bones and don't request pain killers). I recently went through a medical procedure to hopefully minimize my symptoms, the procedure is more than likely temporary. But, that little pill so demonized by the holy, holds my hope for reasonable and responsible treatment within a few years when the monthly visitor again causes so much trouble. The tumors will grow back, but that little demonic pill, has the ability to shrink, and prevent them.
As a believer, I've long ago come to grips with the fact that we're living in a world corrupted, and that diseases like cancer are with us for that very reason. Even though suffering is present in our current condition, it definitely increases our hope for the afterlife. Or at least, in my opinion, it should. My apologies if you don't share these beliefs, I'm just trying to verbalize a comforting thought or two, but suffer from a tendency to ramble.

If it is for a normal reason then there wouldn't be bad effects. But if it is artifically provoked then you may have to wait a number of years for the bad effects to flourish. I am post-menopausal and don't have periods and am a female. As with the ABC link, when a teenager has an abortion, she doesn't immediately get breast cancer. The breast cancer doesn't show up until the woman is in her 40's or 50's.
You're positing that breast cancer is "post hoc, ergo propter hoc", which is a political position, but not a medical position that has been proven.
The studies claiming to show that abortion causes breast cancer are total junk science, in a league with the most outlandish global warming alarmism "science". The only published proponent of this nonsense is Joel Brind, a professor at a business college which doesn't even offer an undergraduate science major. Notably, Brind's 2 co-authors on the original published piece have declined to sign his defensive letters to journals which published de-bunking research (one was a statistician, and I can't recall what the other was, but it another individual whose area of expertise wasn't related to the "abortion causes breast cancer" claim).
Qualified researchers at various reputable institutions, including Baylor University (not exactly renowned for promoting abortion), have thoroughly researched the topic, and found no basis for the claims touted by Brind and his politically motivated followers.
And now for another rant...
For years I told my Doctor I was having headaches. She would pat my hand (LITERALLY!!) and tell me to take an aspirin. The next year (and the next, and the next, and the next...) she'd try it again and I'd tell her they weren't working and she'd smile and say that maybe 'sometime' they'd do some 'testing'... The whole time she was pushing the 'Pill' on me and singing it's praises, telling me I was healthy and could stay on it until my 'change'.
Then when I had an 'aura-onset' (vision mess up so bad I couldn't see!) followed by a full blown migrane of the type where you want to crawl into a small, dark space and whimper with each breath and seriously think that maybe death might be preferable... my husband got me to see a general MD who about flipped out. 32 yrs old, had migrains for 10 yrs, on the 'Pill' for years, had a family history of strokes and this nit-wit was ramming the 'pill' cheerfully down my throat. He was so mad he was looking at my chart to find out who this idiot was. I told him that she had flown the coop and I had stopped seeing her or I wonder what he might have done...
The hubby got snipped and I got off the 'pill'. I still have headaches with the occasional migrain, but they aren't as severe and respond to meds. so much better.
Just a warning to the ladies on any sort of 'pill'... Watch out for those side effects that come on the warning lables and don't let the 'feminazi' lady Docs ignore any signs you have in favor of keeping you on them.
At least I know how I'll probably leave this earth. Someday, sometime, I'l be going along just fine and BOOM!... I'll just...............................
Early menarche and/or late menopause also increase the lifetime number of periods, and are both associated with higher incidence of breast cancer.
If it doesn't kill you first:

Gist of that post? Two women died from taking the "Morning After" pill.
That's your assumption; it wasn't menopause but a surgically-induced cessation.
The "morning after pill" is not the same as RU486.
That's bizarre. Your history and experiences are classic contraindications for the pill. My own blood pressure issues made it a bad idea for me after a certain point, and my doctor took me right off it, with my full assent. I hope you took this incident up the "chain of command" if you were with a health service or HMO.
My bad. I thought it was. Thanks for the correction.
One MORE person on FR who does not understand that the morning after pill and RU-486 are two entirely different drugs. They're everywhere.
