Almost the last of his kind. We're talkin' peers of Chet Atkins, Mark Knofler; all a bunch of pcikers and grinners...
Buck may be gone, but he'll never be forgotten...
Rest in Peace...

Very sad news. What a talent he was ... one of the great, original musicians of our age.

Isn't that chick in the rear and to left of Buck, Elvis's last girlfriend? I wonder what ever happened to her.
I guess everything is silent in Bakersfield.

that chick in the rear and to left of Buck, Elvis's last girlfriendNaw, wasn't she Kenny Rogers' wife at some point? Of course, she could have been Elvis's girlfriend earlier ...

Roy Clark is alive and (relatively) well..
When FoxNews Alert did it's Buck Owens announcement, they had Roy on the phone to say a few words in memory of Buck..
He sounded a bit older, and thanked the network for taking the time to recognize Buck Owens' passing..

Pickin' and Grinnin'. My family watched Hee Haw every week, we all sat around the TV together and enjoyed seeing Buck and Roy do their thing. (And then the moguls at CBS decided to cut the hometown family programs because we wuz all hicks.)

George Jones is still around, but his voice isnt what it usd to be.
I never thught Buck Owens was a geat singer or player, but he was a great entertainer.
Roy Clark was a great picker and grinner. Does he stil live in Maryland?
