BELGRADE, March 17 (Xinhuanet) -- Over 50 foreign delegations will attend the funeral of former Yugoslav leader Slobodan Milosevic on Saturday, a senior official with Milosevic's Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) said on Friday.

The funeral to be held in Milosevic's hometown of Pozarevac, some 80 km east of Belgrade, will be attended by some dignitaries, said Miomir Ilic, the SPS's regional leader in Pozarevac.

Ilic told the official Tanjug news agency that the dignitaries include Russian Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov, Russian State Duma Vice-President Sergei Baburin, former U.S. state prosecutor Ramsey Clark, and Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.

Ilic said over 100,000 people from Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnian Serb republic would be present at the funeral ceremony for Milosevic, who died on March 11 in the detention unit of the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague.

Earlier on Friday, the tribunal's President Fausto Pocar said in The Hague that provisional results have shown that Milosevic, 64, was not poisoned but died of heart attack.

According to unofficial estimates, some 30,000 people have paid their respects to Milosevic, whose coffin was placed on display at the Revolution Museum in Belgrade since Thursday afternoon, SPS Vice President Branko Ruzic said on Friday.

He said that Milosevic's coffin would be exhibited until noon on Saturday, when his remains would be transferred to Pozarevac for burial. Enditem

I guess they all want to show their support of Milosevic's efforts at genocide in Bosnia and Kosovo.

German ARD telev. reported over 500,000 people attended commemorial service.

Well, as for Ramsey Clark, we in Serbia would prerfer JWB to attend, but since he supported post of Hasim Taci, Muslim war criminal for Albanian kosovo talk team leader, it is unlikley that JWB will attend Serb national rally.

Ramsey Clark hasn't been so grief-stricken since Stalin took sick.

Why am I not surprised that Ramses Cluck is going.

The misspelling of the treasonous bast**d is intentional as is the use of Pharaoh Ramses II's name.

I guess they all want to show their support of Milosevic's efforts at genocide in Bosnia and Kosovo.

I really hate to have to disillusion people like this, but there was nothing resembling ethnic cleansing or genocide going on in Kosovo and the only such going on in Bosnia was that being perpetrated against Serbs by Bosnians. That second link is a Stratfor article, which is about as straight-arrow as it gets.

Pretty much everything we've heard or read in western media about the Balkans over the last fifteen years is unadulterated BS. The most basic question you have to ask is this: After Trnopolja, which part or parts of this garbage are we supposed to go on believing?

One thing you notice here is that it's mainly socialists like Clarke who grieve over Milosevic. The hell of it is, that this is precisely the case of a stopped clock being right two times during a 24-hour span, and this is one of their two times. The Yugoslav confederation was the closest any socialist system ever came to working in the real world and it was mainly the sacrafices of the dominenant group, Serbs, in the federation which made it work. I've never heard Ramsey Clarke speak on any other topic and sound like anything other than an idiot but, when he talks about the balkans, he makes sense.

It is perfectly normal - as Milosevic was a socialist. Unfortunately people tend to defend their own instead of being fair to everybody. Later they have to pay for it.

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out--
   because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out--
   because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out--
   because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
   because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me--
   and there was no one left to speak out for me.
