I believe that, in law, treaties are superior to even the constitution. As such, if we signed a treaty on taxation with the UN, the US would be bound to collect it from its citizens.

Here's a thought. They can just deduct the share of what we'd pay in taxes from the %22 of our money that they annually get to maintain their very existence.
Anything short of that, and all I can suggest is that Kofi & Co go straight to hell.

"There is no doubt that the very existence of the UN on American soil is an affront to the US Constitution. Then again so is the World Bank, the IMF, and the monetary powers given to the Federal Reserve banks." Better to have them doing it here, where we can keep an eye on them. NO TAXATION! NO SURRENDER OF NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY! Let them be a little think-tank, or whatever if they like. They need to understand they have no moral or civic authority whatsoever to govern the actions of this country. Any anti-American activity planned or executed on our soil should be prosecuted as a felony.

Bottom line - the U.S. and Israel should pull out of the U.N. and stop any financial support. Let those who stand to benefit from the U.N. support it and see how long the entire agency holds up.

When they do, it will be time to gather a Well Regulated Militia tea-party style and throw these tyrants into the East River.
And their ugly statue of a handgun with the barrel tied into a knot, too.

" I don't see how they could implement/enforce a tax on us. What mechanization could they use to do so?"
They want it built into the price - a sales tax you can't avoid.
If they do it - I will declare my own Jihad on them. They're a bunch of wimps who back down at the slightest threat. That's all it should take!

I remember when Bush came to speak in Phoenix - he mentioned that he had gone to the UN about Iraq - and the crowd BOOED! He looked genuinely surprised.
Washingtonians misunderestimate the antipathy of the American public towards the UN at *our own* peril.

I would like for it to be moved to Havana.

They would use our own legislatures and government bodies. And since some of the proposed taxes are on intra nation stuff, they would assume the enforcement (using other nations agencies of course).
Both sides of the aisle these days would see little wrong with that. The GOP is as internationalist as the DNC these days.

The worst part of the United Nations achieving some form of independent financing through global taxation is not the injustice of taxation without representation, but that the UN will then have funds to consolidate their power. An non accountable source of money will be used through corruption and funding of support to accelerate the globalist agenda. It will take only a little bit to start, once the principle of global taxation is established in some minor area it won't be long until the UN is taking a cut from a variety of activities and putting that money to no good use.

I recommend that everyone read up a little on the finer points of long term small arms storage.
