Remember how much media attention those racist white nationalist teen singers received last fall? (Indeed, they're still getting press. Here they are in the most recent issue of GQ.)
Well, here's a little experiment with race, double standards, labeling, and MSM bias.
My column today is about Autum Ashante, a 7-year-old racist black nationalist poetry "prodigy."

I just heard Alan Colmes whining about people calling the kid racist and my first thought was of the girls you're talking about. I think the name they gave themselves was "Prussian Blue".
Glenn Beck this afternoon offered to buy her a one-way ticket back to Africa.
I'm sure she's really smart and educated and everything, but didn't the africans sell out their tribes to the whites?

It should be about her father. Children aren't born with these ideas.
I would like to take one of her poems and change the word "black" to "white" and "white" to "black" on every line and read it back to her. But then I would be labeled a racist.
This is the dark side of homeschooling. If the parents are a bit, er, eccentric, the child will be too.
Fortunately, the teenage years will eventually strike and the the kid will discover that the parents know nothing about anything.
Hmmm. Notice she attacks Darwin and apparently, abortion. Will the MSM give a pass on that?
I thought it was sad, too, when I read in an earlier report that the little white kids stood up to recite the "pledge to black kids" with her and she made them sit down! These poor little kids were probably trying to be nice, to be supportive, and she threw their support in their faces.
Imagine what she has heard at home to make her so full of hatred at so young an age. Yet the same little girl, brought up with love, would be full of love for others.
That little girl needs to be taken from her home and raised by sane parents.
Countless heroic african slaves gave their lives to gain freedom for their people. Now their activists want back on the plantation. Massa provide da house? Massa provide da food? Massa provide da cable TV?

She recites her radical verses not only in English, but also in fluent Swahiili and Arabic (she attended the Islamic Darul Arkam School in Mount Vernon).
Well, in this day and age of deceit, I am not so sure that this young lady is as smart and educated as some think? I would like her to write an impromptu poem to prove that she actually wrote the words in that poem.....
I think that the impromptu poem would be quite different from the controversial one.

I heard her on the radio and she sounds very intelligent. I think she should be separated from dead ole dad then asked to write something.

Didn't hear Beck, but I guess this "prodigy" would not have such a resonant voice fetching fetid water, swatting flies and fleeing into the bush in "Africa."
I doubt this "prodigy" rolled up to the studio in a Ford Escort with a warped aluminum head.

"Perform" is exactly what she is doing. She is reciting her Daddy's poetry... In the reverse situation, a white kid would be removed from the home.
Yeah, she'll reach her child-bearing age of 12 and as the babies begin to pile up like flies, she'll be more concerned about what government (liberal white polticians) gives her for "free" than about stupid poems written for her by her guardian(s) or teachers or whoever "wrote" this one.

I know you could make an argument that allowing children to grow up in a psychologically or emotionally abusive household, e.g. being raised by NOI cultists, or Kluxers, is just as bad as allowing them to be raised by physically abusive parents, but I don't necessarily think the state has a right to intervene under those circumstances.
I can understand when the warped beliefs of the parents directly imperil the lives of their children, e.g. those Vegan lunatics who tried to starve their children to death, or Christian Scientists who refuse to submit their children to potentially life-saving medical treatment, but I don't think the government should be empowered to determine who is and isn't a fit parent based upon their philosophical or political beliefs, regardless of how bizarre they might be.

Time and puberty will cure most cases. Reversion towards the norm and all that.
And Alan Colmes tonight couldn't stop remarking on how she was not only a PRODIGY! but HOMESCHOOLED!
Apparently, it's perfectly acceptable to Alan if the result of the homeschooling is a bigoted, disturbed child that is being used by her radical left father.
I have a 7-year-old. He's particularly articulate compared to his peers (in the gifted program at his school), and feels comfortable in social situations with the neighbor boys who are 11 and 14. I say that to say this: Having a youngster who is verbally and socially advanced, I can say that no 7-year-old wrote that poem. Sorry, but an older relative wrote that. Period.
That or she'll marry some NOI creep when she's 15 and he's 28, and he'll smack her around when she gets mouthy, and maybe one day she'll start thinking, "Hey... wait a minute... was I duped?"
Obviously this was not written by her. There is now way a seven year old wrote this. Who under 7 (especially these days) study Darwin or Morgan. Moreover, have a better understanding of Columbus. This is obvious this poem is not hers.

Waaah!" And then you get the likes of New York City Council member Margarita Lopez giving $630,000 to the cult of wacko Tom Cruise.
