NORFOLK, Va. -- Evangelical broadcaster Pat Robertson said Monday on his live "700 Club" television program that Islam wants to take over the world and is not a religion of peace, and that radical Muslims are "satanic."
After watching a news segment about radical Islam in Europe, Robertson remarked that the outpouring of rage elicited by cartoon drawings of the prophet Muhammad "just shows the kind of people we're dealing with. These people are crazed fanatics, and I want to say it now: I believe it's motivated by demonic power. It is satanic and it's time we recognize what we're dealing with."
Robertson also said that "the goal of Islam, ladies and gentlemen whether you like it or not, is world domination."

Department of the Obvious Alert.
Git yore popcorn here.
Unfortunately, too many people need the obvious stated for them.
Maybe so, but I would rather hear the truth than this "Religion of Peace" bullsh!t any day.
Robertson wobbles a lot and lets his tongue rattle, but for the most part he is right on but politically incorrect. We all know how terrible it is to be politically incorrect. Why can't we all just get along?? Lay down and let the idiots kill us.
Just when I thought Pat was going over the falls...he comes out with a statement steeped in common sense.
He is going to catch it again.
In the world of political correctness one cannot tell the truth about the followers of muhammad.
I, personally believe that he is correct on this one.
Not to worry Pat. No one is going to take over the world with car bombs and killing themselves. They are going to rely on our abortions and birth control creating the need for an immigrant work force.
Good for him. Islam IS satanic.
I've said it before.
What do you do, when someone is willing to die, in order to kill you?
You have no choice, but to kill him FIRST.
Get it?
Its like the boy that cried wolf, only its the evangelist that sounds like an idiot! The first couple times he sounds like a moron. Then he gets the obvious right and he'll still be labeled an idiot.
The Muslims follow a false god, and a violent one at that.
Expect him to be sentenced to death by several and various whack-job "imams", "assaholahs", or whatever they call themselves and many "fatwas" issued and rewards posted for the death of the infidel.
All, of course, in the name of the "religion of peace".
Guess he won't get invited to any of their ramadan parties!
What about my post made you think I don't?
The only non satanic part of Islam is the part that Mohammad plagarized from the jews. (Before butchering them).
Yeah, the noodles are to die for.
Robertson is not as stupid as a lot would like you to believe he is.
Parson me. I know you get it.
I shouldn't have added that. I don't know why I did. I get so worked up about this topic.
Sorry.
Not to mention the party games - Pin the tail on the Infidel.
Pat is just telling the truth....too bad the rest of the world seems unable to do the same.
And to specify his words so there will be no confusion:
"Robertson said in a statement later Monday that he was referring specifically to terrorists as being motivated by Satan when he made his comments in an editorial.."
I don't think he's stupid at all. He just speaks his mind.
If you're Will Rogers or Mark Twain, you can get away with it. If you're a preacher, you're gonna get tarred and feathered...but it is still refreshing to hear the truth!
No he's not.
And what's surprising is that the usual posse of Robertson-Bashers haven't shown up yet to burn him in effigy.
If they are Satanic then their actions reflect badly upon Satan and Satanism.
If they are Islamic then their actions reflect badly upon Mohamed and Islam.
Let's lay the blame where it belongs, at Mohamed's feet.
What's a shame is that Robertson has lost so much credibility recently with ridiculous statements. It will diminish the value of what he's saying here.
I challenge anyone to prove him wrong. Well, maybe you can't prove a negative, but then, Islam IS a NEGATIVE!
I'll take it a step further and say that if the islamic allah isn't Satan, Satan better move over...'cause there's a new Devil in town.

Who then is this "Allah" character?
As much as I detest Pat Robertson, I have to agree with him on this for the most part.
He's lost some cred with some folks -- that's true.
And then others just plain hate him regardless of what analyses are true and intelligent.
Robertson has hardly cornered the market on faux pas statements, but others seem always to be given the benefit of doubt.
How does it help when a guy with very little credibility says this?
Pat Robertson's right and speaks the politically incorrect truth. Was he wrong about Hugo Chavez?
BTW, your post reminded me of a bumper sticker from the 1979 hostage taking by Iranian terrorists:
"Ayatollah you kissa my assahollah!"
Finally.
Pat Robertson says something with which I agree.
I often disagree with him, but not here.
He said that there were only two religions in the world...
The 'religion of Jesus Christ'...being one...
The other... being the religion of 'not Jesus Christ' which is really just ...the 'religion of self'...
That isn't the first time, nor do I think i'll be the last time he said the same thing concerning muslims, albeit on his own show.
What I really got a kick out of was a few weeks ago when Hal Lindsey was on Hannity & Colmes and got to say it on thier show. Boy did that through weasel Colmes for a loop.
I'll take an oblique position and say the everyone is waiting for Robertson's next wacky comment...and they will hear this. This comment will not so much be weighed and balanced in the logical part of the brain, but will drop, unchallenged, straight to every hearer's unconscious.
IMHO, I can't imagine a single unconscious mind not stopping to consider that islam may be Satanic...and agreeing with wacky old Pat.
imo
Bingo!
And Ahmadinejad expects the Mahdi (the islamic messiah) to come up from a well under the Jamkaran Mosque near Tehran.
Was Robertson actually on his meds when he said this? So much of the time it sounds like he isn't : )
world of political correctness
That was a set up from the beginning from the libs. Instilling the "PC" crapola. This way, when one wants to point out the obvious truth - they will be labeled as 'not correct'.
