If Fox had Dan Rather on 20 hours a day, to the Lefties it would still be "right-wing Fox News".
Not in some precincts:
Sure, that's why it hired Geraldo "Mr. President (Clinton), we love you. I want to hug you, I want to hug you, please do the right thing. This is nothing, this is nothing. Thomas Jefferson did not have this in mind, I swear to God" Rivera.
Marvin and his brother, Bernard, are quintessential PBS-NY Times libs. He brings nothing to the table other than mock earnestness and Old Media blah-blah.
I'll admit, there have been times when Estrich has come on that she didn't look half bad. But then that mouth opens, and that foghorn comes booming out and ruins the whole effect.
They've been bought, so they that may be dismantled.
But they have demonstrated that a moderate-middle message resonates in America, therefore, there will be another network like Fox News someday.
Tony.... roll yer own, man. Make a zillion dollars. And hire me to help. :)
I don't much mind Greta. She stays far away from politics.
When she went to Houston to see how they treated the refugees she was so impressed. Said she wished she was from Texas. Couldn't believe the outpouring of loving concern from the citizens there.
She doesn't talk about her religion which seems to irk some, but as long as she keeps it to herself I don't care.
Geraldo is such an idiot he's irrelevant, IMO.
Hubby actually said they have moved away from All Hitler All the Time!
Everything after Brit & the panel is pap...
Now that I've gotten used to her gun-moll visage, I actually find Greta more boring than annoying; she's got an hour show to do the crime beat, and there just aren't enough major crime stories to sustain an hour show. That's why they flog these stories to death. The problem is as much with the show's concept as it is with Greta personally. I could be wrong, because I usually turn the TV off soon after she comes on, but I don't think she gives enough time to Supreme Court issues and Constitutional philosophy in general. It's mostly about the latest high-profile murder or disappearance.
Yep, a ton of that going around. How about a Doctorate in feelings? or a Masters in appreciation? a Masters in understanding? a Doctorate in compassion? a Bachelors in progessive approach? ect. Maybe the Peace Corps will take 'em, the third world is always looking for these kind of folks.
Simple really ... the largest stock holder of Fox news broadcasting is a Saudi muslim, sorry forget his name now.
Even thought he owns something like 4%-7% he is the largest single stock holder and when he speaks they listen and move. It is frankly the same old way of dealing with the opposition, (which is us) and Fox being a presenter of the truth in their daily news broadcasts... so what to do about it. Buy them, infiltrate them, and make them like all the rest left wing medias.
No surprise there. Sad but true.
Compared to Scarborough or Rita Cosby, I'll keep Greta......LOL.....
At that time of the night I am barely able to keep my eyes open long enough to get to the first commercial.
Marvin Kalb has a long history in journalism. Fox will still present a the conservative viewpoint from lots of smart conservative commentators, but this just goes to show their most interested in hiring talented people no matter what their ideology.
She mentioned a name of a teacher I had not known.
Further questioning brought the news.....she's the 'feelings' teacher.
I expect Phil Donahue.
I once heard a Marvin Kalb speak and he was so totally boring.
Or maybe Kalb was just dishonest.
