No it isn't. The left has 3 major networks plus CNN, C-SPAN, and the major networks' spin-off news channels spewing leftist propaganda 24/7. Our side needs at least one news channel that reports the news and features only commentaries from a conservative perspective. Having one so-called "fair and balanced" outlet going up against a 1/2 dozen or more openly leftist outlets is certainly not what I call fair or balanced.
Millions of middle of the road Americans don't even know what the conservative position is on most major issues, all they know is the lies and distortions pumped out around the clock by CNN and the major networks. After all, it must be true because they couldn't say it on TV if it wasn't, right? WRONG! The MSM LIES.
Do they not understand what got them to the pinnacle of power in the news business?
It wasn't having a bunch of liberals on.
So because a bunch of news outlets corrupt the news process Fox doing the same thing on conservative issues makes that right? It's still a corruption of the news process. Fox at least tries to let people make up their own minds about where they might want to come down on an issue. When presented with both sides of an issue people will generally favor the right.
Also, Bob Beckels, Ellen RATner, Weasly Clark, Juan Williams, Alan Colmes, Geoff Feiger, and the diabolical Susan Estrich-en.
There's only three anchors worth watching on Fox, anymore: Neil Cavuto, John Gibson, and Brit Hume.
I agree. It's interesting to watch Fox dismantling CNN, mainly by hiring away its talent pool. This is a money game ultimately, and it's all about ratings. I think the present management of CNN is more likely to think twice before telling Murdoch (as T. Turner did early on) that CNN will squash Fox like a bug. The 'squashing' has been instructive to watch.
I believe you are correct. Everytime Juan Williams opens his mouth Fred Barnes or Charles Krauthammer make him look like an idiot.
I wouldn't mind Fox hiring Aaron Brown, if they subtracted Geraldo or Greta. I think Aaron Brown is one of the more moderate libs. But the moderate I wish Fox would grab is John Siegenthaler.
(This amazes me, it always seems to happen this way, someone makes a killing with one formula, then they totally abandone it for what has already failed, I just don't get it.)
I believe it's very simple. FOX is not threatened from the right. They figure they can pick up more liberals by going to the left. Since there is nobody to their right, they figure they can afford to take the conservatives for granted. What we need is another channel to the right of FOX to keep them in the middle.
I joined the loversoflauriedhue discussion group on Yahoo just to get the answer to your question. Apparently she went over to the dark side and is now working for Geraldo on his new show. It also said she appeared on O'Really on 1/12/06 to assure everyone she is ok, and being well fed and looked after.
Does this remind you of any political parties we know?
Laurie is sitting here with me.
GOTTA PROBLEM WITH THAT?
Welcome to the Al-Walid/Fox Network!
Juan doesn't need any help in that department.
When will Fox just go Whole Hog and Hire Fox? Vincente Fox!
The worst problem with him is that he's from Harvard and even longtime Democrats from Boston are turned-off by the Harvard's problems and the label is no longer a special "pedigree". More than anything else, it looks like Bill is giving his old teacher a job.
The whole thing is pretty pathetic and he will lose audience because Kalb is a dullard, not because he's a liberal.
"I thought Marvin Kalb to be retired/dead years ago."
Looks to me like he is about 75 years of age from his bio (see below). He looks good for his age.
I thought Marvin Kalb to be retired/dead years ago.
Last I heard, Laurie was enlisted for (gulp) Geraldo at Large.
