I suppose it will happen eventually. I'm trying to get myself organized for it.

It would be a dream of mine if someone in the industry cared to contact me about it. I have a lot to unload. Heck, I'm working on another novel right now.

I'm figuring maybe a package deal of two books of poetry and four novels, perhaps under my pen name. Any publishers out there want to make some money?

If they really want to get my attention, they can offer an advance.

My publishing activities so far have been less than satisfying. I do have a novel published, but without publicity and marketing, it is languishing.

By the way, my prose is completely unlike any of my poetry, it is from the dark side of NicknamedBob.

I got this in an email this morning and thought what a good place to post it..I think this is one of the reasons God wanted us to help the Iraqis.. VERY INTERESTING - 1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq. 2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization! 3. Noah built the ark in Iraq. 4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq. 5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq! 6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq! 7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq. 8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq. 9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel. 10. Amos cried out in Iraq! 11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem. 12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq! 13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!) 14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq. 15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq. 16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq. 17. The wise men were from Iraq. 18. Peter preached in Iraq 19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq! And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots. Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible. No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq. And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages... The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible) Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?! God Bless you all Amen !

There was a prisoner of war camp outside of Aiken, South Carolina. I believe that it was at Fort Gordon or possibly between there and Aiken. If I remember correctly Momma and Daddy told me that some of the prisoners were from U boats that were off of the coast of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. The Germans did land a few men here in the states. Scary, isn't it to think what might have been.

The 9/11 thing might not be true but the other part is..and I still believe we were the one chosen to help these people..Thank you for setting me straight..I usually am pretty careful about what I post or send anyone and since I don't know much about the Koran I figured the other was true..

With the two religious factions fighting, the Sunnis and the Shites, I am beginning to believe that we are helping them to commit genocide or at the very least trying to start Armaggedon. Sometimes the most graceful and political thing to do is to back away, just like we tell our male children "the hardest thing to do is to walk away from a fight, it takes a man to do so".

World War II children were acutely aware of all aspects of the war on every front, whether Europe, Asia, Africe, or on all the waters/in the airs of the world!
Although we did not have televison, we stayed glued to console radio reports, and of course had the Saturday matinee Foxtone Movie films to keep us up to speed.

Everyone had *someone* fighting in the war, proudly supporting one and all, whether family, neighbor or just friend.

It was a badge of honor to go to the dime store for a patch to cover the holes we wore in our shoes, or cut off the toes to accommodate rapidly growing feet - like most goods needed for The Troops, leather was rationed - each person was allowed 4 pairs a year. Mothers sacrificed their own ration stamps for the feet of their growing children. If money was short, cardboard stuffed into the interior of the shoe over a hole was perfectly acceptable.

In short, we felt privileged to do without basic goods (including coffee, sugar, meat, etc.) to help!

Living in Coral Gables, a residential area surrounded by Miami proper, the coastal position by the ocean (Cuba not far away) was one of extreme vulnerability. As was true all over America, our frequent Air Raid Drills were quite serious, having "blackout" cloth to cover windows to shut off light - filling the bathtub with water to use if the power was cut...

I can attest from firsthand knowledge that there often were reports of life rafts with German sabateurs intercepted up and down the East Coast of Florida beaches, so many long stretches uninhabited in those early Florida days.

The firsthand knowledge arises from a day my father was briefly home from his position with The War Production Board out of Atlanta, troubleshooting engineering problems in production plants in the 7 Southeastern states.

He frequented a barber shop in downtown Miami, in a highrise building, and from his seat there, could see Biscayne Bay.
He actually saw a U-boat periscope, and very briefly the deck of the submarine, that quietly submerged and left.

Another of our children's tasks was to be able to identify any and all German and Japanese airplanes, serving as "Junior Spotters."
Little children all over America literally stood watch with their grownup BLOCK AIR RAID WARDENS, positioned on rooftops!
We commonly sketched them on the margins of our school papers to keep our memory sharp between 'friend or foe."

Today's children?!
Don not get me started on the differences -
and indifference to the very real threats to their "security."
That well could instantly evaporate in a mall/stadium/school near them.....
or lurk in their water supply - or......

How/how well would your children/grandchildren/neighbors
respond to terrifying situations??

I'm So Glad you Liked the Sweet Blue-Gray Kitties, (((((((Meg))))))), (((((((Dixie Sass)))))))! I had a Kitty Named Gray Baby about 20 Years Ago that was a Beautiful Blue Color, and he had an Endearing Personality, just Like my Fang-Face.

How Kind God our Savior is, to Place these Sweet Little Furry Loves into our Lives! My Soul is Singing a Melody of Adoration to Him, Thanking Him for His Grace.
