Jimmy Carter out of the anti-Zionist closet

Jimmy Carter is out of the anti-Zionist closet. In a column in the Pakistan Daily Times entitled “Colonisation of Palestine precludes peace” Carter writes

“The pre-eminent obstacle to peace is Israel’s colonisation of Palestine…”

To be sure, he ends his column by calling for recognition for Israel by the Palestinians, but Carter cannot possibly misunderstand what “colonization of Palestine” means to Hamas, Iran, and Bin Laden. It means the existence of Israel anywhere in what was once called Palestine. That is a deliberate ambiguity, as Carter knows perfectly well. It plays to the most extreme factions, while allowing sly Ole Jimmy to deny that he is calling for ethnic cleansing of Tel Aviv.

It’s always nice to know where Democrats stand, after all these years.

I still can't believe he won the Nobel Peace Prize-

I can. After all if Lee Duc Tho, Arafat, and the United Nations, why not Jimmy Carter?

“The pre-eminent obstacle to peace is Israel’s colonisation of Palestine…”

Based on Carter's ugly worldview, it's surprising that he didn't say that the pre-eminent obstacle to world peace was England's colonization of America...

The worst president in American history has now cemented his legacy as the worst ex-president in American history. How anyone can look at his record and see anything good is beyond me. It is so ironic that many of the problems in the world today that he is sticking his nose into are a result of his incompetence.

But hey, isn't that the Democrats' way?

Actually, Carter is the poster child for why we NEVER want to elect another Democrat as President again. I shudder to think what will come out of Clinton's mouth when senility (and/or venerial disease) starts to take its toll on him.

This is hardly news since we always knew what carter was, a small-minded, mean, bitter fool. Sorry that Israel has to endure his nasty mewlings.

He was a ghasty Governor ( native Georgian here ) as well.

FYI:

http://oxblog.blogspot.com/2006/03/did-jimmy-carter-really-say-that-i_09.html

DID JIMMY CARTER REALLY SAY THAT? I think TomPaine.com is a reputable web site. After all, it's on both the TAPPED and Instapundit blogrolls. So I guess if TomPaine's editor says that Jimmy Carter really wrote this op-ed for them, then it's real. Unfortunately, that means a fisking is in order.
