CBS Slants Bush Poll in Favor of Democrats

In its classic "fair and balanced" tradition, CBS slanted in favor of Democrats its poll that found Bush has a 34 percent approval rating and a 59 percent disapproval rating, an all-time high for a CBS poll.

On the bottom of the PDF version of the poll (page 18) it says how many Democrats versus Republicans were contacted.

"Total Republicans" contacted: 272 unweighted and 289 weighted.

"Total Democrats" contacted: 409 unweighted and 381 weighted.

"Total Independents" contacted: 337 unweighted and 348 weighted.

but nobody reveals this.

Why is this data not front and center on FNC?

CBS must be using census data from 100 years ago. Are there not more registered republicans than demcorats?

I wonder what the same poll would reveal if you did a conservative/liberal/neuter breakdown. (moderate means nothing)

That really telegraphs something.

GWBush is a volunteer voted by the consent of the voters.

CBS is dying by their inability to simply report the truth. People just left them.

It must REALLY suck to work for CBS.

CBS fears a Ronald Reagan term III scenario. If someone comes up and is a GWBush surrogate then it will essentially be GWBush running for a third term.

As it stands now, my impression is GWBush WOULD be re-elected for a third term with an even wider margin. CBS knows and FEARS this.

Were the first results of the poll faxed to CBS from a Kinko's in Texas?

I finally learned how to read polls.
I've been SKIPPING to the END of
all polls for the past two years.
With CBS, ABC, or NBC, it's the
fastest way to find out what
they're up to.

Cheney had an 18% approval rating, so they are telling me that only half the people who like Bush (likely all Republicans) like Cheney?

I call BS.

From the same network that brought us phony documents comes a bogus poll. Color me "not surprised".

OK, so we all know that the MSM media is biased. But, my concern has always been, how does the alternative media affect, influence the great unwashed out there that still listens to, reads the MSM, which is still larger than the alternative media? How can we get the message out so that voters will be informed? The point is, the 2006 elections are near and the drumbeat of the MSM is that the Dems will take over Congress. Appearances count and unfortunately the masses still buy the MSM figures, facts, and direction. It is getting better for truth and the Right and the GOP but as W stumbles along on immigration, the ports, this avalanche of bad news piles up. What to do is my point.

I believe the last 2 Presidential elections prove that the more the MSM tries to manipulate Americans, the more the Republicans win. Events like Jimmah Cahtah sitting with Michael Moooore at the DNC really work in the Republican's favor.
Also, I really don't think any of President Bush's missteps, short of an intern scandal, will affect the next candidate. He always seems to redeem himself either through one of his own master strokes, or divine intervention.
