Exactly. This is one of the saddest thing about this case -- that she was ever required to go live with her father.

O.J.'s Daughter Has Run-In With Cops
Sydney Simpson arrested after basketball game scuffle
JANUARY 19-Sydney Simpson, the 19-year-old daughter of O.J. Simpson, the acquitted murderer, was arrested Saturday following a tangle with Florida cops. According to the below Miami Police Department report, officers responded to Ransom Everglades School after getting a call about a fight occurring after a varsity basketball game. Simpson, who was at the game watching her alma mater Gulliver Prep, allegedly yelled and cursed at cops, who asked her three times to calm down. When she refused, Simpson was arrested for disorderly conduct. When she slapped at an officer's hand, Simpson, a Boston University freshman, earned herself a resisting arrest charge, which carries a maximum jail term of one year (the discon count could cost her up to 60 days in the can). Things could have been worse, though, since two teenage girls told cops that Simpson struck them in the face during the post-game scrum. However, both girls declined to press battery charges.

I don't know; if someone was taunting me about my murdered mother, I'd do the same thing.

I'll never recover from that verdict. To this day, when they show the footage of the verdict being read and OJ standing in court, I have to look away.
Ron Goldman, the other poor soul, fought so hard for his life.
To: Fawn
I'd like to see what you look like. See my homepage - at least I don't look exactly like a famous murderer. Poor kid.

I'll wager that the illustrious jurors who found him not guilty, didn't give one thought to the fate of his children.

What a life.
Being Nicole's child and living with the man who killed her.

could she file a civil suit against her father?
To: george76
Nicole made her own bed, I dont feel for her or the Brown family, they lived high off OJ for a long while before he killed his wife, I do feel sorry for the kids.
To: onyx
Without a doubt this was one trajic trial for Los Angeles. I was married to a police officer LAPD who worked years out of the WLA Station, all the cops from that divsion knew OJ , he had quite a few of them over his house to watch football games, had an array of women booze and drugs any many partaked in what OJ provided. OJ in hand thought he could get away with most everything...
It backfired in every way for all involved and Nicloe and Ron got NO JUSTICE.. Inside Edition came to my house and interviewed my husband for a story on OJ and the LAPD...

I feel for both kids of this monster. I would think any kid would have lots of emotional problems having gone thru this and waking each day not wanting to believe your father did this and knowing somewhere inside he did. How awful for them. They have lost both parents and now they are left to deal with life and having to have the last name of Simpson. They will never know true happiness I would bet.

I don't even know what time Oprah is typically on television, but a friend called about two weeks ago and told me to turn it on. Chris Darden was on the show.
He had 3 years of therapy to overcome his anger at the jury, and that anger was still evident. He was also mistreated in his home community because he was an "Uncle Tom".
Then Oprah stunned me with this question: "But Chris, don't you think you can understand the jury just a little? Weren't they sending a message that after all the years of lynching and hatred, we're going to let one of our own get away with murder." (paraphrase)
Darden looked like he wanted to hit Oprah but after taking a deep breath (as advised to do by his therapist, no doubt) he said "Yeah, maybe that was it."

There's serious speculation that Jason (Simpson's son from a previous marriage) was the actual killer and OJ witnessed it or knew about it and covered it up. If true, that could explain a lot and its one theory I subscribe to.

Whoa! How very interesting.
The trial should have never been moved to LA from Santa Monica. That was the worst decision by the DA. His name escapes me.
