Hitler? That makes sense. I wonder if they've stopped nominating Tookie Williams yet?

Being "nominated" for a Nobel Peace Prize has no standing. Anybody can be "nominated."

After all, Tookie Williams was "nominated" for the prize.

That reminds me, i've got to talk with my old college history prof. I want to put "Nobel Peace Prize nomination" on my resume.

Bono has no chance. He hasn't killed enough people to qualify. You need to get into really big numbers like Jimmy Carter and Arafat to make the cut.

"The U.N. nuclear watchdog, the IAEA, and its director Mohamed ElBaradei won last year's prize for their work to curb the spread of nuclear arms and ensure the safe use of nuclear energy"

...and just look where his excellent work on stopping the spread of nukes to Iran has got the world. His utter failure in that regard has probably cost the world any hope of peace in the near future.

The peace prize is named after Alfred Nobel, the Swedish philanthropist and inventor of dynamite who died in 1896, one of the wealthiest men in Europe.

Which only goes to show that the way to PEACE is to be ready for WAR. :o)

Agreed, the Noble Peace Prize lost all aspects of being a true indication of the deserving when John Paul 2 was NEVER awards the prize.

Since I'm female I'll take the shirt. I'm sure some of the males would prefer to have the chick though! LOL

Any chance I could get my dog "Chester" nominated. He certainly shows more inteligence than this bunch and a lot more than past winners.
