A 41-year-old imam from eastern Norway has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison after being convicted of raping a 30-year-old woman in the southern city of Kristiansand. The imam, originally from Pakistan, had been invited to Kristiansand by the local Muslim community during the holy season of Ramadan in the fall of 2004.
Aften attending an evening meeting at the local mosque, the imam encountered the woman on a local street. She was intoxicated at the time, and he allegedly asked if she needed help.
She claims she followed him to a room at the mosque, at which point he tried to fondle her and then raped her. The court claimed she was under the influence and depressed, while he was sober and at an advantage.
The imam denied that he raped the woman, but has admitted having sex with her.
In addition to the prison term, the imam was ordered to pay the woman NOK 100,000 (about USD 15,000) in compensation.
His defense attorney, Bjørn Stefanussen, said he would appeal the conviction. "The court has only taken into consideration the plaintiff's explanation, and my client hasn't been believed," said Stefanussen.

Was the victim a local woman (non-Muslim)? Are the local Muslims going to burn something down if he goes to jail because it offends the Prophet?
Betcha he can't figure out what he did wrong and why they're sending him to jail.

First of all I must tell you that there are people pretending to be Muslims,but do not really follow The orders of Allah (=God) and the Prophet Muhammad (peace upon with him).Concerning the story with the Imam and the raping:
According to the Sharia he has to be punished with death penalty.(like stoning to death).
The pictures showing people with blood and so on.There are over 70 different forms of Islamic paths.The most of them are wrong.The cutting of the skin is typical of Shiites.According to the Scholars (except some Shiite scholars) it is a sin.The Shiits sacrifice themselves for the killing of Hassan and Hussein (sons of Ali=son in law of Muhammad (p.b.u.h).THis is haram (=not allowed).
So please do not confuse things.Before making predjudices get some information and do not hear it from Idiots who do not know the real Islam.
People doing such things do not follow the real Islam.They invent new things (=bida´a) outside the Quran and Sunna (the Prophet Muhammad art of life).

I learned everything I need to know about islam on 9/11.
Since then I learned that so called "moderate" muslims will NOT turn in obvious terrorists using mosques as a base.
I learned that muslims are 90% of the rapists of Europe and Austrailia.
I learned that muslims kill innocents when they get offened at something. And I learned that nearly everything offends a muslim.
I learned that muslims will not tolerate free speech when it criticizes islam. "Moderate muslims" refuse to turn in to law enforcement the radical muslims who murder writers and filmmakers.
I learned islam is a religion of bigots who justify terror, and refuse to recognize Israel. Indeed these muslim bigots justify terror attacks against innocent jewish women and children as "legitimate military targets."
Yet when Israel targets and kills a terror leader, I learned that muslims become big babies and cry like women at the unfairness of the world.
I don't need a link to learn about muslims. All I have to do is turn on the news to see muslims beheading another Catholic schoolgirl...that followed by the silence of muslims worldwide teaches me volumes about the true nature of islam.
My conclusion is that islam is the last stronghold of barbarism in the world. I will be proved wrong when muslims rise up and either turn in or kill the terrorists themselves. And I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Please pardon us for questioning the peaceful, benevolent nature of Mohammed's great and wonderful religion.

A friend deputy of mine in one of the VA DC area counties said he made an arrest once for domestic violence of a muslim man that had beaten his wife. He acted as if it was no big deal, explained that it's normal in his home country (wherever that was as I forgot, ME tho), and continued to explain it all to him. He just sat there, listened, took notes, then made the arrest for beating her.
Perfectly normal in their culture. Blends nicely with ours, eh.
No kidding. Women are treated as some sort of amusement and sexual release for men. Why more women in countires where Islam is spreading aren't absolutely terrified of Islam is beyond me.
But, but, dontcha know? All cultures are equal? Good for your friend, it sounds like he got a confession, too.
I believe there are 73 'islamic paths' and only one can be the right path...so what I want to know is, how many of you will be left alive after you establish which one it is...LOL!

I checked out your site about Mohamed, and its completely different than what I read in the koran.
The book says that Mohamed broke his truce with the Jews of Medina when it was convenient for him. Mo's word is NO good.

No where does it mention the rape of captive women by Mo's holy warriors, nor does it mention Mo's marriage to a 9 year old child! No where does your site mention what happened to a city that lost a battle with the muslim horde: I guess your site forgets to mention that all the men were killed, and the women raped and then either enslaved or forced to marry their rapists.
I think your site is LYING about the brutality found in the koran. There are enough copies online that anyone can read for themselves the truth about the bloodthirsty allah.
