And God gave me free will. When I say, no, no it is.

No, its making Christianity look like radical Islam. I swear sometimes the people who throw the Bible around aren't any better than those the cite the Koran.

Looks like he would do less time if he had just murdered her and admitted it!

Screwy system we have when L.E. and D.A.'s have more vested interest in getting a conviction at any cost, than in dispassionately telling the truth.

An extreme example of the "Lautenberg Amendment" mentality and it's guilt by accusation (no evidence required) mind-set.

Does not shine a very white light on the parole board either, they appear more interested in "winning" a contest of will's than in justice.

If he ever "admits guilt" the "state" gets to gloat that his sentence was justified, and all involved are off the hook for tampering with evidence, failure to disclose "Brady material", etc. So I can see his refusal as a matter of principal, a rare thing to see today.

What, no ping for me? ;)

I dunno. I do prison ministry, and Lord knows there are some innocent people in there, but something about this article just doesn't smell right to me. Do any of you know anything more about the case?

Oven? For what? I use mine to store stuff.....

Your condescending sweetie remark only shows how out of touch you are with reality. Now go back to arm-wrestling with your buds.

It's going to require some heavy conservative horsepower to win this guy his freedom.

Don't you get it? What passes for "conservatism" now is to always believe these witch hunts and to pass laws locking up "abusers" forever.

None of the Fox News or talk radio hacks would touch a case of prosecutorial abuse (unless it's Limbaugh's own). Phyllis Schlafly is a real conservative. That's a dying breed.

My brothers (see previous post on this thread) won the same way.

For men to win in custody battles, their best odds are ProSe and the internet. Family law lawyers too often don't want to "rock the boat" or piss off the judge with "too many motions" for fear of bias against them in future cases. Going ProSe, you don't have to worry about that! ;) Also, more motions mean more solid ground for appeal, if necessary. :)

Congrats!

...judges as well as the cops that testilyed against him need to be placed in prison for 20 years or more...

I strongly disagree...they should all be shot for committing fraud under color of authority.

There are all kinds of reasons for and against everything. It's all a risk....no guarantees for anything.
Well.....except death and taxes.

"If there were really no on-scene evidence of rape, would the cops who responded really be inclined to believe this woman's story? Would the prosecutor really be inclined to prosecute a case with little to no evidence that a crime has been committed?"

Yes, because they are dirty poeple. Like the Ryan's of IL, or Randell of PA.

Any man who would consent to marriage under present laws, needs to be locked up.

Any man who does, risks it

In this country all a women has to do is say he raped me and then sleep with the D.A. and you are dead meat. With this kind of hammer a man has no chance in a relationship as she has full say are you will pay.

"The judge used Michigan's new Rape Shield Law to prohibit cross-examination of Linda."

False. His own habeas petition states that she was cross-examined by defense counsel.

It certainly will. I stand corrected. ;)
