Yes you did, when you compaired 51 to 13 Million.
Are you aware that immigration officials believe the number of illegals entering our country each year is around 3 million, of which they apprehend about 1 million? I see it as an extremely dangerous situation when 2 million per year manage to successfully enter our country. Because those 2 million are not apprehended, we have no way to know who they are, where they are from, or what their intentions are in this country. 2 million mysterious people coming in illegally every year disturbs me a lot. We also can't lose sight of the fact that there are already 10-20+ million illegals in this country already.
I have never said the Bush administration is not doing anything about the situation. It is however a dire situation and it is clear that we are not making progress at this rate. I believe the only realistic solution is to build a secure border fence on the Southern border, enforce all immigration laws, and take steps to ensure our border becomes secure.
I have said many times that President Bush did not create this problem, it has been many years getting to this point. However, President Bush will need to take drastic measures to solve the problem, and I haven't seen willingness on his part to do so. In fact his administration has taken some positive steps toward enforcement and have made changes on the border from previous administrations. The steps taken are not nearly enough and that is an understatement to say the least.
We have a major crisis on this border, and it will take a very aggressive policy to solve that crisis. I just don't see where this administration is even planning a policy that will make a dent in the out of control chaos on the border, or even begin to manage the illegals here now.
