This blowhard does not even know US History!

That's the only way he can remain an isolationist.

Pat Buchanan jumped the shark long ago. Now he's just a crazy old has-been trying really hard to be relevant. Not succeeding, however.

Neither of us should be amazed at the vast numbers who believe that either Eisenhower, Johnson or Nixon are responsible for Vietnam. Truth is there is enough responsibility to go around.

"Containment" of communism started with Truman.

I am frequently just too damn lazy to go back and regurgitate the facts to those who really don't want to know anyway.

Need extra doses of encouragement from true conservatives these days.

Good job.

He's not even a real conservative. He reveals in this article that he is a protectionist. So in what way is Pat a conservative? I actually applaud Bush for standing against protectionism.

I thought Korea was a success?

Bush seems to have hit a nerve with Pat.

The Congress forced Nixon to cut and run as far as I understand. Watergate gave them the upper hand. Sadly that cut and run lead to Cambodia.

Yes, and didn't the forefathers pay tribute to the Barbary Pirates, only to decide later that enough was enough, and sailed to North Africa to destroy them?
