I always thought that Southern Baptist could be black or white.
-- They can be. All I'm saying is that the SBC is the largest protestant denomination in the country and it is predominantly white. There are lots of black baptist churches but they aren't always affiliated with the SBC.
Someone should ask Clinton about how many Churches have burned in Kosovo since he entered us into that quagmire on the wrong side.
And I'm not going to hold my breath until the MSM looks at things from that angle.

Actually, the headline specifies "Southern Baptist." Maybe they are thinking directionally instead of affiliations. :)

They may not understand Southern Baptist as different from a Baptist church in the south...

Most likely only Southern Baptist churches were targeted due to their "whiteness". I am guessing this is a racially-motivated crime.
For those of you who don't know, the Southern Baptist Convention was formed due conflicts over slavery with the Baptists from the North. I am a Southern Baptist and while I am NOT proud of that distinction, I do appreciate my denomination's firm stance on issues that are core to my Faith. It is not a perfect grou by any means but neither is any other denominational body. Plus, it has managed to fight off the liberal (and heretical) version of Christianity that infected most major American Christian groups.
Nows the time for Bush to use that domestic survelance system and catch those Code Pinkos....
Or if it were to happen up north, Catholic churches wouldn't count either.

My thought as well. Still, the arsonists, if any, are surprisingly selective to only choose Baptists, and specifically Southern Baptist at that. Maybe that is all that is in that area, but I would be surprised.
CNN just mentioned this story. They say 3 churches, quoting AP reports.

I would bet a year's salary that the MSM doesn't even speculate that this could be done by a radical gay group in retaliation for their rejection of the gay Texas church.
